WWE SD/ECW house show
December 27, 2007
East Rutherford, N.J.
Report by Jules Mercuri, PWTorch correspondent
All match times approximate. I didn't have a watch, so I guesstimated.
Teddy Long came out and told the crowd that Vickie Guerrero was not around so the show would be run "his way" tonight. He plugged the matches, including the main event, a Last Man Standing match between Edge and Batista for the World Heavyweight Championship.
1. Kane def. Big Daddy V (w/Matt Striker) in 7:00. Kane chokeslammed V after Matt Striker interfered.
2. Mark Henry and Jamie Noble def. Jimmy Wang Yang and Chuck Palumbo in 12:00. Noble pinned Palumbo with a rollup after he escaped a collision between Yang and Palumbo. Chuck pushed Jimmy down after the match and walked away.
3. Elijah Burke def. Tommy Dreamer in 15:00. Burke pinned Dreamer after hitting the Elijah Express.
Kelly Kelly won a "Best Body" contest also featuring Victoria, Michelle McCool, and Layla. Kelly got the biggest pop for her revealing bikini.
4. The Miz and John Morrison def. Jesse and Festus for the WWE Tag Team Championships in 12:00. Morrison pinned Jesse with a rollup.
5. CM Punk def. Chavo Guerrero for the ECW Championship in 11:00. Punk pinned Guerrero.
6. Montel Vontavious Porter def. Carlito for the WWE United States Championship in 13:00. MVP pinned Carlito with a rollup.
7. The Undertaker def. The Great Khali in 9:00. Undertaker pinned Khali following a chokeslam.
8. Edge def. Batista for the World Heavyweight Championship in 25:00 (Last Man Standing rules). After interference from the two fake Edges, Batista went down for a count of 9 but got up while the referee's back was turned, talking to Edge. The fake Edges knocked him back down, the ref turned around and counted 10. After the match, Edge ran to the back but the fake Edges later returned to beat on Batista. The Undertaker came out and the two made short work of the impostors.
