WWE Smackdown/ECW brand house show report

I went to the house show in San Diego. Big news of the night was Edge legitimately hurt during his match with Jeff Hardy, which was right before intermission. They had to bring out the trainer and he was helped to the back. It look to be his ankle. We weren't sure if it was real, but he got on the mic and said "Sorry." Here is the quick match rundown. Of course, Rey received the biggest ovation.

(1) Evan Bourne beat Shelton Benjamin with the Shooting Star Press.

(2) Ricky Steamboat beat Drew McIntyre with a roll up.

(3) ECW champion Tommy Dreamer beat Christian, Jack Swagger, and Mark Henry in a four-way match when Dreamer DDT'ed Swagger.

(4) Edge vs. Jeff Hardy went to a No Contest. Edge got hurt right after the match started. Didn't really notice anything out the ordinary. After they carried Edge out, some refs were check the mat. It look like they were checking for bumps or unevenness on the mat.

[Intermission]

(5) Melina & Gail Kim beat Women's champion Michelle McCool & Alicia Fox. Popcorn match.

(6) Chris Jericho beat John Morrison by grabbing the ropes.

(7) World Hvt. champion C.M. Punk beat Rey Mysterio with the GTS after Jericho interfered. Jeff Hardy the came in to make the save. Jeff left quickly, allowing the hometown guy to bond with the crowd.

Top tier was not full, but there was not a whole lot of advertising for it. I met Christian at an autograph signing earlier in the day. Real nice guy.
