WWE house show results
March 17, 2012
Providence, R.I.
Report by Tyler N., PWTorch reader

WWE announced the show as the Road to WrestleMania Tour.
Santino_130GG_8.jpg

(1) U.S. champion Santino beat Jack Swagger (w/Vickie Guerrero) to retain the U.S. Title. Vickie got huge heat. Santino won with a roll-up in a comedy-oriented match.

The Miz cut a short promo about Providence being filled with fat people. R-Truth came out to his old "What's up" entrance and talked about Miz before their match.

(2) R-Truth beat The Miz. They brawled to start the match. After a well-done match filled with Miz's heel tactics, Truth got the win with the Paydirt.

Eve came out to say that she's going to prove that she's not the woman the crowd thinks she is starting tonight. Her tag partner, Tamina, then came to the ring.

(3) Divas champion Beth Phoenix & Natalya beat Tamina & Eve. In the end, Tamina went to tag in Eve after a double-team squash, but Eve left before the tag could be made. Beth then hit the Glam Slam to get a victory for the Divas of Doom.

(4) Chris Jericho beat Kofi Kingston. After a great match, Jericho beat Kofi with an eyepoke and Codebreaker.

(5) Big Show beat World Hvt. champion Daniel Bryan via DQ; Bryan retained the World Title. At the end of a short and boring match, Swagger interfered, causing the DQ. Swagger then tried to stay on the attack, but Show reversed and hit a chokeslam. After the match, Swagger and Bryan were slow to recover to sell for Show. Swagger eventually got up, but the doctors checked on Bryan. Eventually, Bryan ran up the ramp when he was away from ringside.

(6) WWE tag champions Primo & Epico (w/Rosa Mendes) beat Zack Ryder & Mason Ryan to retain the WWE Tag Titles. The champs retained after a double backstabber. Actually second-best match behind Jericho vs. Kingston.

(7) John Cena beat Kane in a Last Man Standing match. Cena won with an Attitude Adjustment through a table. I'll have to get my ears checked because of Cena now.

After WWE announced they will be back in the near future, the main event of C.M. Punk vs. Dolph Ziggler was introduced. Ziggler and Vickie came out first, followed by Punk to some love from the crowd. Punk said that Jericho came late and locked himself in his locker room until he cheated to win over Kofi. He said he left just after, with security in tow. He talked about WrestleMania and how if he doesn't beat Ziggler in tonight's main event, he won't get the chance to face Jericho at Mania. He said he's going to find him and kick his ass after what he said about his father on Raw.

(8) WWE champion C.M. Punk beat Dolph Ziggler (w/Vickie Guerrero) to retain the WWE Title. In the end, Punk won by pinfall in a decent match.

Overall, it was a good show for it not being televised. The top three matches were Jericho vs. Kofi, Punk vs. Ziggler, and the Tag Title match.

Top Pops:

- Cena
- Punk
- Santino

Top Heat:

- Vickie
- Ziggler
