WWE Live show results
March 1, 2015
Buffalo, N.Y.
Report by Ryan Berglund, PWTorch correspondent

I attended the live event in Buffalo Sunday afternoon. It was interesting having a 1:00 p.m. start time and it showed in the attendance. The entire 300 level was totally empty and there were empty patches everywhere you looked. It also should be noted that Buffalo has had a pretty bad recent history with WWE shows - the infamous Battleground event where everyone wanted refunds, and Raw back in November where a good portion of the audience received refunds when it was announced that John Cena would not be there. So, I did not expect much from a Cena-less afternoon show. That being said, the wrestlers put on a good show and it was one of the more fun live events I have been to.

Before the show started a video aired on Tyler Breeze writing and performing his own entrance music. Another video aired on Sasha Banks winning the NXT Women's Title at Takeover Rival. There was also the typical vote for a Divas one-on-one or three-on-three match, not saying who it would be.

(1) IC champion Bad News Barrett beat Dolph Ziggler and Dean Ambrose in a triple threat match to retain the Intercontinental Title. Ambrose came out with the title, playing up the TV storyline. Barrett was out next and ran down Buffalo and said he would get his title back tonight. Ziggler was out last to a huge pop and he played to the crowd. Almost the entire match was one-on-one with someone on the outside. Ambrose hit Ziggler with the comeback clothesline, then Barrett threw out Ambrose, hit the Bullhammer on Ziggler, and got the win. Barrett had the title, but Ambrose came back in, hit Dirty Deeds on Barrett, and left with the belt in hand.

(2) Sin Cara beat Tyler Breeze. Breeze came out to the usual heat for his selfie stick. It amazes me every time how much of a pop Sin Cara gets for a guy rarely on TV. Sin Cara mocked him by taking selfies of his own and his top-rope pose. Sin Cara won with the Swanton Bomb.

(3) Los Matadores (w/El Torito) beat Curtis Axel & Heath Slater. Typical match with Los Matadores, Axel and Slater dominated until El Torito got involved, distracted Slater, and un Matador hit the backstabber for the win.

Chris Jericho came out next. I assumed he would have been in Long Island for the other house show, but he came out to a huge pop. Y2J talked up the crowd before turning to The Authority. He made fun of Triple H's nose and called Stephanie McMahon a ho. Luke Harper came out smacked the mic out of Jericho's hand. Jericho then called for a ref to make a match.

(4) Chris Jericho beat Luke Harper. Relatively quick match. Harper got out of the Walls of Jericho and went for a Clothesline, but Jericho reversed into the Codebreaker for the win.

(5) Randy Orton beat Bray Wyatt. Very loud pop for Orton, and seeing Wyatt's entrance never gets old. Wyatt continuously left the ring early on prompting Orton to chase him up the ramp. The match ended with several reversed finishers until Orton hit the RKO.

The video on Conner the Crusher aired. Every time I tear up. "Let's Go Conner!" chant from the crowd throughout and Tony Chimel told us how we could donate to Conners Cure Foundation. This led into intermission.

Next was the Divas match. The vote was 97 to 3 percent in favor of a six-Divas tag match (the same as the previous night).

(6) Emma (the birthday girl) & Naomi & Natalya beat Summer Rae & Cameron & NXT Women's champion Sasha Banks in a six-Divas tag match. Interesting having Naomi and a together when they're feuding on TV, but that played out throughout the match via back and forth jabbering between the two. Naomi took a hot tag from Emma and cleaned house, then Natalya blind-tagged in and made Summer Rae tap to the Sharpshooter.

(7) The Usos beat The Miz & Damien Mizdow. Typical theatrics from Mizdow mimicking Miz, only to have Miz stop him. Miz had Mizdow sit on a chair on the apron. Mizdow blind-tagged until Miz tagged himself in, only to immediately take a double superkick from the Usos for the win. After the match, The Usos and Mizdow danced Rikishi-style together.

(8) Daniel Bryan beat Kane in a Buffalo Street Fight. Loudest pop of the night by far for Bryan. The "Yes!" chants from the crowd were deafening. Kane brought in a kendo stick and a chair and went to town on Bryan, but Bryan fought back. Bryan went for a baseball slide to the outside, but Kane smothered him with the ring apron. Kane set up a table and chokeslammed Bryan through it for a close nearfall. Bryan finished the match with a running knee on a steel chair.

Overall, great show. No complaints and solid effort from everyone involved.

- Biggest Pops: (1) Bryan, (2) Jericho, (3) Orton.

- Biggest Heat: (1) Miz. (2) Breeze with his selfie stick. No one else had true heat.
