GUEST EDITORIAL
By P. Cali of Hoover, Ala., PWTorch.com reader
If I am correct, WWE planted the final seeds that gives away the dramatic ending for the WrestleMania matchup that will protect both Flord Mayweather and the Big Show.
First, let's take a look at history. In almost every major sports entertainment event in the past, with the exception of the Hogans and Cenas of the world who at times exhibit strength from the heavens, Mabel (Big Daddy V), Mark Henry, Andre the Giant, Yokozuna, The Big Show, and other monstrous men, have been built up by the McMahons as the most dominant men of their times and the same conclusion has been given to each story after each man has properly been built up. That conclusion is and always will be - they can't initially be beat; at least not by ONE man. In mostly battle royal situations, everyone has to team up to disperse of the biggest man in the ring.
The Big Show is arguably in the best shape since his younger years. Vince has a lot of miles that he can get out of this giant. He's already held all of the titles and would only confuse the main event scene on Raw and Smackdown and completely dominate ECW. But, if he is on a temporary man-hunt that doesn't include any particular roster, he can do a lot of damage to mid-carders while re-establishing himself as the man to beat in the WWE.
Clue # 1 - $20,000,000
Isn't that the first thing that comes to mind when you think about this matchup? How much would it take for me or you to step in the ring with an angry giant? It shouldn't take that much for Mayweather to give a total of maybe 1 full hour of his life to the WWE after all of this is done. If Triple H doesn't get $5,000,000 for beating half of the roster in the same night, then no one else could possibly deserve it, right?
Clue #2 - The angry roster
What WWE wrestler wouldn't be ticked off when each of them put their lives on the line for our pure entertainment 300 days a year for a mere fraction of that amount ($20,000,000)? How do we pull this angle off and have the guys in the back stay motivated in the search for their big and deserving payday?
Clue #3 - Dominance
The video package of the Big Show's history with the company shows his complete dominance. It may not always be pretty, but it's definitely effective. Enough said!
Clue #4 - Money Mayweather Entertainment
Mayweather came into the WWE with a natural built-in gimmick. His gimmick is his love of money and belief that he is the best fighter in the world. Before he signed on to this match with the WWE, he was simply known as an arrogant, confident, fighting machine who was only interested in fighting when the money made sense. Now, with his entrance music, his in-ring antics, every time he opens his mouth, or whenever he reaches in his pockets, we are reminded first and last about the money and the in between is just filler.
What does all of this mean?
It means that every available Raw, ECW, and Smackdown member will get a portion of the $20,000,000 and execute EACH of their signature moves on the Big Show at WrestleMania only to weaken him just enough for the PUNCH HEARD AROUND THE WORLD! The next few months will be a booker's dream as the Big Show makes his presence felt at will on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Friday nights as he tries to get revenge on each of those wrestlers who were paid of by Money Mayweather to humiliate Big Show at WrestleMania.
Vince probably either wrote or approved it, and history tells us that it takes a locker room to beat an angry giant on his worse day. So on the Big Show's best day, it's gonna take a locker room and a portion of that $20,000,000 to beat him.
