ETC. News: Key days ahead for passenger and victim of Nick Hogan's high-speed wreck Sep 9, 2007 - 11:29:00 PM
The Tampa Tribune reports in Monday's newspaper that John Graziano, the passenger in the Nick Hogan car wreck two weeks ago, was taken off of medication that left him in a coma on Saturday.
The next couple of days will determine whether Graziano can recover from his injuries, which included damage to his frontal lobes and kidneys. His father, Edward Graziano, said there is hope. "It's heartbreaking," said Edward Graziano, 52. "I see him as my baby boy but also as a tough Marine."
The Tribune reports that Graziano underwent several procedures because his frontal lobes were "pushed in." He is still very critical, according to his father. He said his supereme physical fitness works in his favor.
The father acknowledged that the Hogans flew in a neurologist to offer a second opinion to the hospital staff. He said they hvae been very supportive.
