Torch Indy Reporter Chris Vetter travels thousands of miles each year to see dozens of indy shows all over the Midwest. His reports covering the entire U.S. Indy Scene are usually published exclusively here at PWTorch.com every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
MIDWEEK NEWS & NOTES
The HUGE news of the week is that Bryan Danielson has been cleared to wrestle, and he will take on Takeshi Morishima for the ROH World Heavyweight title this Saturday in Chicago! I will be at the show, and I’ll have my ultra-detailed write-up Sunday or Monday.
Another big show this weekend is the return of Pro Wrestling Unplugged to Philadelphia. Diamond Dallas Page and Dan Severn will be on hand, and the show features Too Cold Scorpio. Details are below.
CZW has another hardcore tournament. While those shows don’t interest me, they do draw sizable interest from death match fans. I did review a CZW DVD this week, and that is available on the Torch main page.
In other news…
AAW has added Alex Shelley & Chris Sabin vs. Joey Matthews & Christian York, and Tyler Black vs. Austin Aries to its huge show on Sept. 29. There will be two big shows in the Chicago area that evening, as IWA Mid-South will have “night 2” of its Ted Petty Invitational that night as well. The updated AAW lineup is below.
And you can always reach me with your indy results at chrisjvetter@hotmail.com. I request that you remember to say date, location (including building, city & state!), and full name of the promotion.
WEEKEND RESULTS
Nothing new to report.
