PLEASE TAKE A MOMENT TO BOOKMARK US & VISIT US DAILY

By Chris Vetter

Torch Indy Reporter Chris Vetter travels thousands of miles each year to see dozens of indy shows all over the Midwest. His reports covering the entire U.S. Indy Scene are usually published exclusively here at PWTorch.com every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.

WEEKEND PREVIEW, NEWS & NOTES

Once again, the big shows this weekend are in ROH! Tonight Philadelphia, Penn., features Mitsuharu Misawa & KENTA vs. Takeshi Morishima & Naomichi Marufuji, and Bryan Danielson vs. Austin Aries. Ring of Honor, then heads to the Manhattan Center on Saturday in New York, N.Y., with KENTA vs. Mitsuharu Misawa, Mark & Jay Briscoe vs. Jimmy Jacobs & Necro Butcher & Tyler Black.

Another huge indy show this weekend is Northeast Wrestling on Saturday in Scranton, Penn., with Christian Cage vs. Kurt Angle, Jerry Lawler vs. Joey Matthews, Samoa Joe vs. A.J. Styles, a six-man tag featuring Sgt. Slaughter.

The big show on Sunday is in Maryland Championship Wrestling, in Dundalk, Md., with the Sandman! Also, Adam Flash vs. Christian York, and Joey “Mercury” Matthews vs. the Bruiser.

One other big show to note – Pro Wrestling Unplugged on Saturday in Feasterville, Penn., has Gangrel, 2 Cold Scorpio and Jim “the Anvil Neidhart. Visit www.prowrestlingunplugged.com for more info.

In other news…

Jimmy Jacobs and Delirious traveled to Hawaii last week to compete in Action Zone Wrestling, and those results are now below.

The lineup for the next PWG show on Nov. 11 has been posted below. It looks like another excellent show for PWG! Check them out at www.prowrestlingguerrilla.com. I just posted another rave review of one of their shows from April.

East Coast indy wrestling Stan Lee has suffered a career-threatening injury after breaking a leg. He has worked for WWE in the past.

You might have recognized “Robert Roode’s number one fan” at ringside the past three weeks on Impact. It is Rain, who has wrestled for Ring of Honor, Shimmer, and IWA Mid-South. I mentioned maybe a month ago that she had relocated from Minnesota to Florida (which has led to her appearing on all the recent Full Impact Pro shows.) Rain told me she’s not under contract, but it definitely looks like TNA has some ideas for how to use her! Rain is a very good women’s wrestler, and would really be another great addition to TNA’s growing division.

JAPW released the lineup for its Dec. 8 “Seasons Beatings” show, with B-Boy’s final JAPW match (as B-Boy had previously announced he would retire at the end of this year.) B-Boy will face Archadia and Azrieal in a three-way. This HUGE show includes A.J. Styles, Low Ki, Homicide, Kazarian, Chris Hero, Jay Lethal, Human Tornado and Teddy Hart. The lineup is below, and learn more at www.japw.net.

And you can always reach me with your indy results at chrisjvetter@hotmail.com. I request that you remember to say date, location (including building, city & state!), and full name of the promotion.

WEEKEND RESULTS
