Torch Indy Weekend Report: Jacobs over Danielson, weather causes ROH no-shows

By Chris Vetter

Torch Indy Reporter Chris Vetter travels thousands of miles each year to see dozens of indy shows all over the Midwest. His reports covering the entire U.S. Indy Scene are usually published exclusively here at PWTorch.com every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.

WEEKEND RESULTS, NEWS & NOTES

Seriously poor weather conditions caused several wrestles to miss the ROH show in Chicago Ridge, Ill., on Saturday. I spoke with a friend late Saturday night who was stuck at a gas station in northwest Indiana, because the freeway was almost entirely shut down. He told me that Ruckus, Jack Evans and Necro Butcher were all stuck at that location with him, and they weren’t going to make the show. Other wrestlers that missed the card included Human Tornado who was supposed to make his ROH Chicago debut. Results of the card are posted below.

Overall, this was a really light indy weekend. Things kick back into high gear this weekend with big shows from IWC (www.iwcwrestling.com) and another huge JAPW show (www.japw.net.) Plus, IWA Mid-South (www.iwamidsouthwrestling.com) has its final two shows of 2007 (and no more shows for the foreseeable future), and CZW (www.czwrestling.com) also is in action. Visit their sites and learn more about these two great promotions!

And you can always reach me with your indy results at chrisjvetter@hotmail.com. I request that you remember to say date, location (including building, city & state!), and full name of the promotion.
