By Chris Vetter

Torch Indy Reporter Chris Vetter travels thousands of miles each year to see dozens of indy shows all over the Midwest. His reports covering the entire U.S. Indy Scene are usually published exclusively here at PWTorch.com every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.

WEEKEND PREVIEW, NEWS & NOTES

The weekend preview comes a day early, as I’m taking a vacation day tomorrow…

I have updated the lineups for the ROH shows this weekend in the Midwest below. The Chicago show looks a lot better to me than the “tag-team themed” show on Friday in Detroit. Unfortunately… with our skyrocketing gas prices… I am skipping the Chicago show.

Northeast Wrestling also has a double-header planned this weekend. On Friday in Newburgh, N.Y., NEW features Roddy Piper in the “Piper’s Pit!” Also, Samoa Joe vs. Kurt Angle!

JAPW returns to Rahway, N.J., on Saturday, with the champion, Kenny Omega vs. Frankie Kazarian, and LAX vs. the Rock n Rave Infection. This is not one of the stronger-looking JAPW lineups.

Chikara Pro has a pair of shows this weekend, but the lineup on Sunday in New Alhambra (former ECW Arena) in South Philadelphia, Penn., features Delirious & Hallowicked vs. Gran Akuma & Icarus, and matches with Claudio Castagnoli, Eddie Kingston, and Mike Quackenbush.

And you can always reach me with your indy results at chrisjvetter@hotmail.com. I request that you remember to say date, location (including building, city & state!), and full name of the promotion.

WEEKEND RESULTS

Nothing new to report.
