WEEKEND PREVIEW, NEWS & NOTES

After a short hiatus (largely because of the holiday), I’m back with all the indy results from the past week, and a look ahead at shows this weekend!

The big show tonight is in Full Impact Pro in Crystal River, Fla., with Scotty Too Hotty, Roderick Strong, Austin Aries, Delirious, Davey Richards, Tyler Black, Jimmy Jacobs. ALSO, just announced that Jerry Lynn joins that roster. That’s a good top tier of talent! FIP also has a show Saturday in Arcadia with the same roster.

JAPW returns to its home in Rahway, N.J., on Saturday with Booker T vs. Jay Lethal, LAX vs. Da Heavy Hitters, Chris Hero vs. Archadia, and Nikki “Roxxie Leveaux” Roxx in action.

AAW returns to the Chicago suburbs on Saturday featuring Chris Sabin & Alex Shelley vs. Ryan Cruz & Darin Corbin, Arik Cannon vs. Krotch, Silas Young vs. Ikuto Hidaka.

Jerry “the King” Lawler will face General Lee on Saturday in EWF in Marion, Ind.

In other news…

Ric Flair is scheduled to appear at NWA All-Star Wrestling in Oakwood, Va., on June 28, as part of “Flair’s Farewell to the Fans” tour.

Philadelphia-based Pro Wrestling Unplugged has announced Sandman vs. Jake “the Snake” Roberts for its show on July 26. Learn more at www.prowrestlingunplugged.com.
