Former baseball star Jose Canseco is desperate for money. Enter Danny Bonaduce, one of the stars of Hulk Hogan's Celebrity Championship Wrestling, who is desperate for attention.

The two met at the Iceworks skating complex in Aston, Pa. on Saturday night for a three-round celebrity boxing match that ended in a disappointing draw with Bonaduce bloodied in the mouth. "He hit me harder than I've ever been hit my entire life," Bonaduce said to an AP reporter.

The event apparently aired on PPV as well and the claimed attendance was 2,000 with people paying $30-50 for arena seats. Crowds reacted with boos for Canseco and cheers for Bonaduce, who has a radio show in Philadelphia.

The arrangement was for Canseco and Bonaduce to receive $2 for each PPV customer. Also on the card were The Sandman and Brutus Beefcake.

Caldwell's Analysis: The impression I get from reading a few reports is that this was a poor attempt at boxing with a whole lot of dodging punches and not too much action. The size mis-match made it to where Bonaduce couldn't reach Canseco and Canseco wasn't conditioned to do much more than stand in one place.
