WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan was featured on Australian TV's "A Current Affair" show this week selling the audience on his Hulkamania Tour in November.

Hogan was in classic sales pitch mode as clips of him slamming Andre the Giant were shown in-between sound bytes from a sit-down interview with a wide-eyed and excited Hogan.

Hogan was, of course, playfully asked about wrestling being fake since it was a mainstream interview. He responded that everyone knows the pre-determined winner or loser, but what happens in the ring isn't fake.

He talked about being addicted to the rush of performing in front of 20,000 screaming kids and adults, as he tried to create the scene for Australian wrestling fans to picture themselves gathered together to re-create the images shown on "A Current Affair's" TV piece.

There were the typical tales on the night he slammed Andre the Giant at WrestleMania 3, which the producers showed clips of throughout the interview. Hogan also described the injuries he's suffered - two back surgeries, loss of peripheral vision, bite marks on his body, etc. - but said he's ready to wrestle in Australia. He flexed his biceps to offer "visual proof."

Hogan is in Australia this week promoting his four-date tour this November with tickets going on-sale next Thursday. He has lined up Ric Flair, Mr. Kennedy, and the usual Hogan "friends and associates" to be part of the tour, which is being promoted by Eric Bischoff.

Bischoff talked about Hogan's salesmanship tactics and ability in his book, "Controversy Creates Cash." He summed it up best with this quote on Hogan seeing an opportunity and capitalizing:

"I realized that Hogan was a master negotiator. I don't want to call him a manipulator, because of the negative connotations of the word, but if anyone can smell an opportunity and turn it to his benefit, it's Hulk Hogan." (pg. 316 - Controversy Creates Cash)
