Ric Flair will debut with Ring of Honor next Friday in St. Louis as part of a multi-date agreement. Flair isn't familiar with any of the ROH product, though. He took the deal following a good friend's recommendation.

Flair says he hasn't watched a show before, but he understands ROH's commitment to respecting the wrestling business. He wants to be part of promotions that care about the integrity of the business.

"I have not watched any of it. I am taking someone's word," Flair said on the Between the Ropes radio show this week. "I respect them so much by what they've talked about, we've agreed upon. I have not seen any of it. I'm endorsing the product based on a very close friend of mine's opinion."

Flair said he doesn't think ROH will let him down based on the negotiation process and good word he received from a friend. He knows the product commands respect from the product and ROH management has treated him great despite not meeting in-person.

As part of his desire to "stand on his own two feet" after depending on the wrestling business to support him for 35 years, Flair says he's going to support promotions and people who respect the wrestling business.

Last week, ROH teased that Flair is going to confront Larry Sweeney when he debuts in St. Louis next weekend. Today, ROH teased a confrontation between ROH champion Nigel McGuinness and Flair.

"The legend has his eye on McGuinness after reviewing some recent ROH footage to familiarize himself with the company," ROH said in today's Newswire. "We're led to believe that the 'Nature Boy' has been critical of the recent tactics McGuinness has used to secure victory."
