TNA News: Frustrated and upset top star on Sunday, Monday TV taping notes Sep 11, 2007 - 2:31:28 AM
-At the TNA tapings last night in Orlando, Fla., the former Rikishi debuted. He'll be using the name Junior Fatu. They came up with that the day of the taping as they hadn't planned ahead for something more creative. Everyone calls him Keesh, but TNA was concerned about legal issues with doing anything close to Rikishi, the name owned by WWE.
-Christian vs. Samoa Joe in a no DQ match was announced for Bound for Glory. Matt Morgan will be a special enforcer referee.
-Black Machismo lost a non-title match to Christopher Daniels to set up presumably a title match at Bound for Glory. About an hour after Black Machismo pinned Kurt Angle on Sunday night at the No Surrender PPV, Machismo was sent to the ring to basically play a jobber role to get tossed out of the ring by Samoa Joe during his tantrum. Kurt Angle, who earlier in the night insisted that he put Machismo over clean (turning down a proposed idea to have interference lead to his getting pinned), was fuming mad and frustrated that TNA bookers damaged Machismo and offset whatever he gained from the win over Angle by thoughtlessly treating him like a jobber just an hour later. [More on all of this was reported in yesterday's Daily Keller Hotline, Torch editor Wade Keller's news and analysis audio update posted virtually every day for PWTorch VIP members.]
-Judas Mesias, Jim Mitchell's new monster, made his in-ring debut against Eric Young.
