TNA News: TNA negotiating with Scott Hall for more dates, expected to be at TVs next week Nov 10, 2007 - 11:28:33 AM

Although Scott Hall's first obligation right now is wrestling regularly in Puerto Rico, TNA is negotiating with him to also fit more TNA dates into his schedule. Hall is scheduled to be at the TV tapings this Monday and Tuesday, which means he could be part of the next three weeks of Impact (they're taping three shows over two days this Monday and Tuesday after Sunday's Genesis PPV, taking them through Thanksgiving week).
Hall, while unpredictable due to lifestyle issues in the past, has been reliable enough lately to instill confidence in TNA investing in him. Although the TV rating on Thursday wasn't a huge jump over normal, it was the highest viewership they've had since expanding to two hours. If Hall is part of a TV storyline that culminates in a match on Impact in two or three weeks, it will be a real test of whether Hall is still a ratings draw after years out of the spotlight.
WK ANALYSIS: The value of Hall and Nash working together is much greater than the sum of Hall working alone and Nash working alone. If they have a good storyline behind them that leads to them reuniting as a tag team against a strongly built-up heel team involving Kurt Angle, or even better a six-man tag that would allow for three younger wrestlers to get some rub from the association with the star power of Angle, Hall, and Nash, that could really draw and give a boost to other talents. For instance, a PPV main event featuring Hall & Nash & Samoa Joe vs. Kurt Angle & Robert Roode & Christian Cage. The key for TNA is not to get wrapped up in anything that would end up being a1997-'98 rerun like Hall & Nash vs. VKM or Hall & Nash vs. Team 3D.
