TNA knockout Roxxi has been through several gimmick changes on TNA TV in the short while she's been with the company. After starting off as the Voodoo queen alongside B.G. and Kip James, her head was shaved bald, and now she simply curses and fights.

Roxxi says she wasn't given much direction when she first came to TNA for the Voodoo gimmick, but she owes Abyss for helping her get into the company after they met at an independent show in New York a few years ago.

"At first, it was difficult because there wasn't anyone telling me which way to go," Roxxi said on the Who's Slamming Who podcast of the initial Voodoo gimmick. "We were still feeling it out." Roxxi wasn't sure what TNA was looking for and she simply tried to please everyone with pulling off the gimmick.

Right now, things are easier playing a character closer to her personality of being a "different" kind of girl. TNA told her they wanted her to start swearing and Roxxi says she's going along with what they tell her.

Prior to the current gimmick change, Roxxi lost her hair at the Sacrifice PPV in May. In the radio interview, Roxxi chuckles as she says her initial reaction to being told about the headshaving was to make sure they were going to pay her well for it.

Finally, Roxxi was asked about losing Gail Kim from the Knockouts division in TNA. "She is a great, great worker and it's sad that she's not with TNA," Roxxi said. "It's a great loss." Nevertheless, Roxxi says they're continuing to raise the bar in the Knockouts division and the encouragement from the male wrestlers after their matches helps them grow as performers.
