TNA Impact Wrestling on Thursday, April 5 officially scored a 1.12 rating off a first hour 1.10 rating and second hour 1.15 rating. The second hour rating was the highest since mid-February.

Despite the second hour uptick, the show closed on a soft note with a 1.06 eighth quarter-hour rating for an unhyped Robert Roode vs. Mr. Anderson main event match. The previous quarter-hour scored a show-high 1.22 rating for the Motor City Machineguns's in-ring return.

Also of note is the first segment scored the lowest rating of the show for Hulk Hogan's in-ring speech addressing the Impact locker room to begin his GM regime.

First Hour Break Down

Q1: Impact opened with a show-low 1.01 rating for Hogan's in-ring speech setting the stage for the rest of the show. There was also one standard commercial break at the end of the segment. This was the lowest-rated Q1 since the beginning of February. (down 14.2% vs. 2011-Q1 average)

Q2: Impact upticked to a first-hour-high 1.17 rating for Jeff Hardy vs. Kurt Angle, plus one mid-match commercial break. (up 1.2% vs. 2011-Q2 average)

Q3: Impact dipped down to a 1.05 rating for Bully Ray's in-ring promo with Austin Aries, plus two commercial breaks before the start of the Knockouts #1 contender match. (down 10.0% vs. 2011-Q3 average)

Q4: Impact rebounded again to a 1.15 rating for the Knockouts match and one commercial break. (up 2.2% vs. 2011-Q4 average)

Second Hour Break Down

Q5: Impact upticked to a 1.17 rating for various non-in-ring segments and the start of James Storm vs. A.J. Styles. (down 5.0% vs. 2011-Q5 average)

Q6: Impact was steady at a 1.15 rating for the second-half of Storm-Styles, one commercial, and a backstage segment with Montgomery Gentry. (down 0.8% vs. 2011-Q6 average)

Q7: Impact peaked for the night with a 1.22 rating for MCMG's in-ring return, one commercial, and a Hogan-Bischoff segment. This was the highest-rated Q7 of the year. (up 7.0% vs. 2011-Q7 average)

Q8: After the Hogan-Bischoff segment, Impact slid to a 1.06 second-hour rating for the main event of Anderson vs. Roode, plus one commercial break. This continued a Q8 trend of 1.04, 1.05, 1.06, and 1.06 the past four weeks. (down 10.0% vs. 2011-Q8 average)
