KELLER'S TNA IMPACT REPORT (hour two)
NOVEMBER 8, 2007
AIRED ON SPIKE TV
TAPED 10/30 IN ORLANDO, FLA.
[Commercial Break]
-Angle walked to the ring to his entrance music. He demanded Hall come to the ring in ten seconds or he'd come get him. After ten seconds, he went backstage. He barged into Hall's locker room and there sat Eric Young. Young looked startled. If I didn't know any better, I'd say his character was based on my mom's dog, Vivian. Hall walked up to Angle and calmly asked if he was looking for him. He said, "Six-foot-six and more handsome than ten movie stars." Angle warned Hall to stay out of his business. Angle took a swing at Hall. Hall shoved Angle against the wall and told him that what's between he and Nash will stay that way.
-Tenay and West plugged the PPV line-up.
-Cyrstal interviewed Rick & Scott Steiner backstage. Scott said he is what he says he is. He mocked Styles for taking a bus to his vocational school in pissant Georgia. Scott said Styles was a male (bleep) cheerleader. Cyrstal said she was a cheerleader. Steiner said, "Shut up, Candy." She corrected him. He said, "Listen skank, just hold the mic." She bit her lip like Maria and looked sad. Steiner said Styles's girlfriend calls him to "get her freak on" and "she always goes to bed with a smile on her face." Steiner said Styles is in the big time now, so he's going to beat his ass big time. Vintage Scott Steiner promo. It's nice to see an old style basic wrestling promo where the wrestler just does his thing with the mic and a camera.
-Styles walked out to the ring wearing an amateur wrestling singlet that said "Gainsville Vocational" on it. Then Steiner came out to his ring intro.

4 -- A.J. STYLES vs. SCOTT STEINER - Takedown Challenge
Styles did jumping jacks to warm up. West clarified his comments earlier, saying a takedown challenge is all about leverage and weight. They took the ring ropes down for the match. Styles got frustrated a minute in and slammed his headgear to the mat. Tenay said he had a temper tantrum like a little kid. Styles threw powder in Steiner's eyes, then took him down for the first point. Styles did push-ups and break danced to celebrate. Styles got another takedown immediately with a hip toss to take a 2-0 lead. Tenay explained it was most takedowns in three minutes that would win. Styles got a third takedown right away. Once Steiner could see, he gave Styles three quick takedowns to tie it. Then he took the lead 4-3, at which point Tomko ran in and jumped Steiner for a DQ. Where was Tomko 15 seconds earlier? Rick Steiner made the save. Steiner gave Tomko an overhead suplex, then did the same to Styles. Both rolled to the floor.
WINNER: Steiner in 4:00 via DQ.
-Angle yelled at Nash, asking what now. Nash said it's in Hall's hands, and "if he's going to do what he's going to do, God help us all." Angle asked Borash what he meant by that.
[Commercial Break]
-Crystal stood outside Sting's locker room. Hall walked out. Crystal marked about a bit.
5 -- JAMES STORM (w/Jackie Moore) & KURT ANGLE & ROBERT ROODE (w/Ms. Brooks) vs. STING & SAMOA JOE & ERIC YOUNG
After a few paired off for a minute of action, including Joe and Roode in a preview of their Genesis match, Young tagged in followed by Angle. Young looked scared. Young did a Flair flip into the corner, then clotheslined Angle over the top rope to the floor. Young then hit Angle with a phone book. The crowd chanted "That was awesome!" They cut to a split screen of Nash and Borash pacing backstage. As Angle took over in the ring, Karen walked to the ring with a big smile on her face. Tenay asked why she was so happy with everything going on.
[Commercial Break]
Karen clapped at ringside at Angle stomped on Young in center-ring at 10:00. Angle applied a leg scissors. The crowd chanted "Angle sucks." Tenay said, "Genesis will show why TNA does three hour pay-per-views like no other company." Tenay said Bound for Glory was their best PPV of the year and Genesis will match or top it. Joe tagged in and cleaned house (that's such a strange phrase, I always feel self-conscious using it in that context). Storm, at ringside, tripped Joe to give Roode an opening. Joe came back with a flying knee off the middle rope into a standing Roode's chin. Nice move. Roode tagged in Storm and Joe tagged in Sting. Sting beat up both Storm and Roode with Stinger Splashes in opposite corners. Joe brawled with Roode at ringside as Angle snuck up behind Sting and gave him an Angle Slam. Sting then locked Storm in a Scorpion Death Lock; Storm quickly tapped out. Angle cried at ringside.
WINNERS: Sting & Young & Joe in 16:00.
STAR RATING: **1/2 -- Good six-man action.
-Borash interviewed Nash backstage. A resigned Nash said, "Here goes 16 years of friendship." He walked toward the entrance tunnel with his head hanging.
[Commercial Break]
-Nash entered the ring. He said he's been waiting all night to see why Hall was there. He said, "Come on down here. Let's get this over with, buddy." Hall walked out and said, "Hey yo." Tenay needlessly said, "That's the signature line we're all familiar with." The crowd chanted "Welcome back." Tenay needlessly said, "It's very obvious that the fans here in the Impact Zone are very happy to see the return of Scott Hall." Hall said, "I didn't get the memo about the dress code and I thought we were still dying our hair." Tenay needlessly said, "Well, that brought a smile to Kevin Nash's face." Hall said, "I didn't know we got real mature all of a sudden." Nash said, "You know, it's a bitch, but we all gotta grow up sometime." Hall said, "Well, we can get older, but what if I'm still immature." Hall asked Nash about the days when the Clique ran wrestling, "and still does," you were easy to find. He said he always saw him at the end of the bar. The crowd chanted "Razor, Razor." He asked Nash why when he slips and falls or staggers and is in the gutter and looks around, he can't find him. Nash said for a lot of years that guy staggering next to him was him. He said he had to pull himself out for his family and could only handle himself. He said he couldn't deal with him anymore and he wasn't the friend he should have been. Hall said, "That was then and this is now. Good to see you, my friend. We got today, and God willing, we got tomorrow." He then said, "So for everybody who cares, be sure of one thing, I ain't Sting's partner; never have been, never will be." Hall's music played as Nash and Hall hugged and smiled. West said, "If he's not Sting's partner, then who is?" Even with 20 years of wear and tear over the last ten years, Hall still shows signs of what made him such an integral part of that Monday Night War boom period.
Angle walked out as Nash and Hall posed together in the ring. He complained about Hall attacking him backstage if he wasn't going to be Sting's partner. He wanted to know why he was there and who is Sting's partner. Sting appeared on the stage with his music playing. West said, "Sting's not even talking. The mind games continue. Kurt Angle will have to wait until Sunday like everyone else."
-A music video highlighting Impact closed the show.
