Wade Keller, Torch Editor (4.0)

I've seen better, I've seen worse. The flippant treatment of the X Title match, the odd follow-up with the West-Tenay situation (with Tenay not addressing West's point of criticism that he backstabbed him at a meeting), and Super-Jeff-O-Mac mixed with a bunch of decent but rushed other segments and matches. There were some decent performances by Sting, Mick Foley, Kevin Nash, and even Jarrett (who was good in his role, albeit he remains overpushed and somewhat delusional in the Stone Cold TNA Founder Sage Role - and what was with that speed-talking in the opening segment?), but the booking foundation remains largely a mess. Nash probably gets my MVP vote for doing a better job trying to make sense of and fill in the gaping logic holes in the MEM Sting-Angle situation.

Greg Parks, PWTorch.com Contributor (4.5)

Nothing seemed to be gained on this show. Hey, at least they're using Mick's Hardcore History segment in a storyline by discussing it with Sting. It still isn't much in the grand scheme of things, but it's more than it was. Foley and Sting were good on the mic but Kevin Nash was scripted to sound quite pathetic. They're getting further and further from their feud with the Frontline as well. I was surprised to see Kiyoshi getting an X-Divison Title match. Not sure what he did to earn it. It was your usual X-Division match that will be forgotten by next week. I really think they're reaching a point where people are going to stop caring about Suicide unless you get him into a match in the next few weeks.

I like Beer Money Inc. overall but they, especially James Storm, just seem so unrealistic and over-the-top that it's hard to get fully into their character. Hey a member of the MEM attacking a member of the Frontline. There's something new. The Knockouts four-way tag was a mess that felt like the finish was of no consequence. The masked security during the Booker segment was stupid and obviously only a way to get Samoa Joe into the ring. The knife.....is a bit much. Don West reminded me of Dwight Schrute with his mustard yellow shirt. The Tenay and West feud seems straight out of high-school, including West's "I can't even look at your face!" What would be the payoff for this?

Abyss was a great monster character but that's out the window with all this cartoon talk and Dr. Stevie stuff. Morgan probably should've squashed Sewell. I thought they built up the match with Abyss well, even though the tack stuff is old. The baldness and mustache of Hernandez reminds me of Big Bully Busick. LAX vs. Beer Money Inc. in a match has a lot of potential, but it wasn't realized on this show. The Jarrett-Angle brawl was a bit too reminiscent of Sting vs. Angle.

Curtis Shanks, PWTorch.com Contributor (4.5)

Tonight's show fell a bit flat in my opinion. We returned to a couple years ago, when TNA overbooked everything and presented storylines that made you roll your eyes. Kurt Angle suspended for the show, but still shows up to every one's surprise? Seen it a hundred times in wrestling. Samoa Joe posing as a police officer to attack Scott Steiner? Totally overbooked. You had to know something was up when the police showed up with riot masks covering their faces. Kurt Angle attacking the Front Line to get back the suits he rightfully owns? Just a lazy excuse to show that Kurt Angle is P.O.ed and likes to attack people when they aren't expecting it.

Despite some less than intriguing segments, they have all accomplished one goal. Hype for the Destination X PPV next month. All of the feuds have had a purpose as there is something on the line and a payoff at the PPV later this month. Angle/Sting will be good to advance the storyline, Joe/Steiner seems average at best and A.J./Booker should at least be an interesting match-up we have not seen much. I'm trying to not get my hopes up for the Ultimate X match. While the match itself has been hyped well, the participants have not been officially announced. I feel this will be nothing more than a twelve-minute spotfest to open the PPV and forgotten by the time the second match takes place.

Who knew Don West could play a good heel. His lines have seemed a bit forced over the past two weeks, but he has played his part well. I guess anyone seems like a good actor sitting next to Mike Tenay. This story may not signal a departure by one of the two, but a simple heel turn for West. He was very biased with his remarks tonight, heavily favoring the heels. This was actually a nice change of pace, as it's been a long time since we've seen a true heel commentator on a wrestling show.
