Brian Hoops, PWTorch.com Contributor (5.0)

This show was an improvement over the last couple of weeks, but this was still not a great show. They did a little better job on setting up the matches for the PPV, but as a viewer, I would not be convinced to purchase the PPV as TNA failed to get me emotionally invested in any of the matches.

I would also like to see more time spent on the matches. Five or six minute TV tag matches really serves no purpose. TNA has plenty of young talent, with better direction and focus, they could really get that talent over as something special but continue to miss the boat.

Greg Parks, PWTorch.com Contributor (4.0)

I can't go to a 5.0, even though the show as a whole wasn't terrible, because of the last segment. I don't get the "choosing someone to represent you in a fight" deal- what was in it for Angle and Sting? Nothing. Therefore, when Angle's guy lost, nothing happened so who cares? Also, who cares about a security guard? And in the main event? AND he gets most of the offense? I understand no one likes Angle, but this would've been a good time to give a younger wrestler the rub by putting him with Kurt. And I loved Jarrett coming out at the end, saying this stuff ends at Destination X. I believe it was supposed to "end" with the empty-arena brawl, and seemingly every week since then. My money is on it NOT ending.

Aside from that, everything else was the usual mixed bag. They did a good job previewing Destination X, for the most part. They continue to do a decent job building Matt Morgan vs. Abyss, at least, when Abyss isn't talking with Dr. Stevie. Lots of X Division hype was nice to see, but for the most part, the in-ring action was sub-par.

Curtis Shanks, PWTorch.com Contributor (6.0)

The hype for Destination X was well done tonight. Most of the feuds created just enough intrigue to make the PPV seem more appealing, which is what the go-home show is supposed to accomplish. Who would have thought that the match getting the most hype the week before a PPV would be the X Division title match. There was plenty of hype for Sting vs. Angle, but the past few weeks we've seen countless Rough Cuts and promo videos for the Ultimate X match. Let's hope TNA and the five guys in the match have something great in the works, as the Ultimate X rarely disappoints. This Sunday should be no exception, as all five guys are capable of some great in-ring action. My only fear is that the UX match is nothing more than a spotfest to open the show and forgotten by the time the rest of the undercard rolls around.

Mick Foley showed some great fire in his role tonight. His promo's were well done and build towards the Angle/Sting match-up. With Jarrett and Foley interjecting themselves in the match, it could be viewed as the Frontline finally trying to one-up the Mafia and come out on top. Unfortunately, it is probably nothing more than an excuse to overbook the match and allow for all sorts of outside interference and a convoluted finish.

Nice to see Eric Young in the spotlight tonight. He's one of those guys that suffers from the on-again-off-again push. Just when he seems to be taking the next step and getting a prominent role, he stalls out and disappears from TV for a few weeks. The fans have always been behind him, but it seems TNA is in the same boat for the time being. It seemed fitting that nobody would want to help out Angle, since his character is not well-liked. But I have a hard time believing that guys like Magnus and Kiyoshi (wrestlers who were not used on the show) couldn't put aside those feelings for the chance to main event an episode of Impact.
