Not an acceptable show. This week's Superstars probably would have been the better slot for the encore of Shawn Michaels vs. The Undertaker rather than on ECW when more time could have been devoted to the ECW mid-card and Christian-Regal main event program.

The show started on a frustrating note with Michael Cole being told to label Evan Bourne an underdog with an "upset victory" over Chris Masters over and over and over. WWE might be pushing smaller, under-sized wrestlers and not focusing exclusively as larger-than-life stars right now, but they still carry this mentality that smaller wrestlers are incapable of winning a legit match over a bigger, strong wrestler. Granted, it makes for a more heart-warming story that Bourne "overcame the odds" against Masters to win, but it's just dumb logic. Bourne has over 15 TV victories this year. Masters has one. And it was over Santino the Shockmaster. Ridiculous.

William Regal vs. Tyler Reks was okay. Nothing special; just an enhancement for Regal. Meanwhile, I'm going to repeat my thought from the past two months that we don't know anything about Reks and WWE needs to deliver some sort of profile feature to connect him with the audience. Right now, he's just a big dude with some aerial moves on the cusp of "building some momentum." He's stuck on the page and viewers are flipping to the next page without paying attention. WWE needs to make him jump off the page.

The main event mixed tag match was good in the D-Level show's main event. Of course, it benefited from being next to two relatively bland matches. Add in some color and non-stop action and there's a recipe for a strong conclusion to the show. Hart Dynasty picked up a needed win with "their music on the way out," as Kevin Nash would say. Even though it was Natalya pinning Eve, the victory was still meaningful. It also kept the program going since the men didn't settle their issues.

Jon Mezzera, PWTorch.com Contributor (4.0)

This was not a good episode of Superstars. The worst part of the show was the opening match, Chris Masters vs. Evan Bourne. This was boring for 11 minutes or so as Masters was too methodical in his dominance over Bourne. It was disappointing to see Bourne treated as a small wrestler who won despite being physically dominated by Masters. The final few moments of the match were strong, but not nearly strong enough to save the boring match in which Bourne only hit a few moves.

Before the main event, the rest of the show was decent, but not good. William Regal vs. Tyler Reks was a solid show case for Regal, giving him a strong win that he needed as the #1 contender for the ECW Title. However, like the first match it was a bit too slow to be more than just ok. The Chris Jericho - Big Show video was OK. I still don't ever enjoy seeing a Raw Rebound.

The only good part of the show was the main event, Cryme Tyme & Eve vs. The Hart Dynasty. It was a good six person mixed tag match. It wasn't great, but it went 14 minutes and had much more energy than either of the first two matches.

Greg Parks, PWTorch.com Contributor (5.5)

I didn't mind Bourne vs. Masters at all, aside from the fact the announcers proclaimed it an upset, despite Masters not doing anything noteworthy in his WWE return. But he's bigger, so I guess that's all it takes to be the "favorite." For a Masters match at least, it was above-average. I just don't think Tyler Reks is ready for prime-time, so I certainly didn't mind Regal getting a relatively convincing victory over him.

We've seen incarnations of Cryme Tyme & Eve vs. The Hart Dynasty before, but I've never seen David Hart Smith boogie like that. And I hope to never see it again. The match, however, was thankfully another story, as it continued the solid in-ring work that has encompassed this feud thus far. I think Eve has benefited from working with Natalya as well.
