James Caldwell, Torch Assistant Editor (7.0)

The high score is for the entertainment value on the show. Removing the entertainment value, this was a thumbs down show because the Breaking Point build-up was lackluster in the sense that WWE does not emphasize submissions and the storylines did not naturally lead to a submissions-stipulated PPV.

Bob Barker was great as the guest host. He had his mental lapses, but at least he was old-school in the sense that he waited until the ref raised the hand of the victor to officially declare a winner between Big Show and Santino. Might not have made for good TV, but credit Barker for paying attention to detail even if he didn't realize he was paying attention to detail. The interaction with Jericho at the top of the broadcast made for good TV, although it was tough to watch Jericho in that role. There was a break in a suspension of disbelief because it was obvious he was playing a role and not organic in his character portrayal. Jericho with a name tag over his bare chest was a classic image on Raw.

Randy Orton standing tall over John Cena two weeks in a row pretty much confirms Cena is winning the title on Sunday. Or, there will be another screwjob. No way Orton stands tall on TV, then wins on PPV to knock Cena down with a double whammy. Should lead to a re-match at Hell in a Cell to hopefully once and for all end the feud and bring in some new contenders to the title. Problem is there aren't any other legit heel contenders against a babyface John Cena as champ. No one is waiting in the wings other than maybe Cody or Ted. That's a huge maybe.

DX needs to drop the act. As Greg Parks mentioned in our Tuesday chat, hopefully there's a heel turn by Shawn Michaels or Triple H. Something new (albeit re-fried from five years ago) is warranted with a potential Hunter vs. HBK feud. Just can't take another Triple H homophobic promo or another round of burying mid-card heels. It's old and stale.

Greg Parks, PWTorch.com Contributor (6.5)

First off, Bob Barker exceeded my expectations of him as guest host. It could've been really bad, but credit WWE for getting him prepped and Bob for still being on his game at his age. This show had some decent matches in between the Price is Right skits. Jericho vs. MVP was more than acceptable. Chavo got to wrestle a decent match for the first time in a while. I even liked Cody Rhodes vs. John Cena.

The final segment had the unenviable task of trying to push two main Breaking Point matches at once, and it came across less-than-fluid. DX taking the fight to Legacy was fine and went better than the last time we saw Triple H fight them backstage. Cena vs. Orton didn't really seem all that authentic at the end, but they clearly had to do something. I'm thinking it didn't exactly work in getting fans revved up for another chpater in this feud, but at this stage, there's not a whole lot they could've done.

Lee Stevens, PWTorch.com Contributor (6.5)

Of course, I realize with this score, I run the risk of having the next contributor post a 6.6 just to outbid me. I am quite sure there were countless people who had no idea why this 85 year old man was on TV and subsequently hated every second of Bob Barker's appearance. I respectfully disagree with them and just about every portion of this score is based on the television legend and guest host.

He seemed like a natural fit and juggled the names of the people on Contestant's Row quite well. Perhaps I'm having Mike Adamle flashbacks, but just because something is written in front of you doesn't mean that everyone can read it and keep it in order. I enjoyed his interaction with Chris Jericho and I'll even forgive the week chop on Chavo Guerrero since I've seen lighter contact from current Superstars (Great Khali, come on down!).

The final segment attempted to refocus the show on Breaking Point instead of the Showcase Showdown and I appreciated the effort. This is the final Raw before the pay-per-view. Unless Bob Barker is dropping a sleeper hold on someone, he needed to take a backseat at some point. Bonus points for having Randy Orton drop John Cena and getting Cena's fans riled up and ready to break out the wallet for this weekend.

Major points for Jericho catching MVP in the middle of his "Straight up Ballin" segment and almost costing him the match.

I would think that someone slamming The Big Show would warrant some buildup. I don't know if a Big John Studd type challenge could be sustained today, but I'm not asking for months, just weeks.

The next item up for bid is Chavo's dignity. One dollar, Bob.
