James Caldwell, Torch Assistant Editor (8.5)

The ECW mid-card is a delight on Tuesday nights. WWE even took one step toward ending the running gag on Shelton Benjamin's heel/face character by putting him in a legit feud against Sheamus, who is slowly becoming one of the top mid-card heels in WWE. Getting a "Let them fight" chant on a pull-apart brawl was a good sign for the beginning of the feud. I just hope they find something for Goldust after he proved himself worthy of a regular spot on the card with his work against Sheamus.

WWE flippantly announcing in the middle of the show Christian vs. Regal for the ECW Title at the Breaking Point PPV was head-scratching. After that, though, the main event was well done to set up Christian vs. Regal with Regal in control to put Christian in jeopardy. I really like the Kozlov & Jackson tag team. Both are very limited by themselves, but they become watchable working together. Can't put my finger on what it is, but perhaps their unique "polite tags" per the orders of the esteemed Mr. William Regal is part of it.

The opening match between Hurricane and Paul Burchill was Burchill's best work possibly ever on WWE TV. Hurricane was solid as well. I was critical of Burchill for about two months, but he seems to have made the right adjustments with his look, his walk, and his in-ring repertoire. Very encouraging from PB. And...of course, no Abraham Washington! Celebrate with another 0.5 tacked on to the score.

Dominick Mayer, PWTorch.com Contributor (5.5)

I'm not sure what it was about last night that just felt a bit off. I mean, the wrestling was solid all around, there was no Abraham Washington to be found and not even a Raw Rebound. So why do I feel like last week's excellent show wasn't lived up to? I think it's because while the wrestling was sound, there wasn't anything that really stood out.

Burchill-Hurricane was better than their first lengthy show opener, but there was a feeling of "I've seen this before." Still a good match, though. The first tag team match was just there, but it did start off (seemingly) a Sheamus-Shelton Benjamin program, which could be really good. The main event tag, meanwhile, creates an interesting question: If Kozlov and Jackson work slow and methodical, and do it well and in keeping with their characters, is it wrong of me to still be bored by it? It fits them, and the match was good, but by the end of over fifteen minutes I was definitely doing some clock watching. One final note: Why was Zach Ryder in a squash match this week? I know squashes aren't limited to big men, but they usually are limited to guys who haven't been prominently featured on a show lately, which Ryder has the past few weeks.

Greg Parks, PWTorch.com Contributor (7.0)

Burchill and Hurricane put on another fine match in what has been a series of them thus far. I've always been a fan of Burchill's work, so it's nice to see him getting some consistent TV time lately. The mid-show tag match was OK, but I'm beyond the point of trying to figure out what they're doing with Shelton. Yeah, it looks like a feud with Sheamus is up next, but it looked like that a few weeks ago with Zack Ryder, and that went almost nowhere.

Zack Ryder's squash match was effective, save for the bizzare camera angles used at the end. I guess it was for the best, considering what happened to make them use those weird cuts and edits. No doubt, Kozlov & Jackson as a team is better than what looked at one time to be a Kozlov vs. Jackson feud. Pairing them with Regal was smart as well. And boy, did Regal connect on that kick to the head of Christian after the match!
