On Smackdown, Mike Knox will soon join my pal Bam Neely as he quickly slips into oblivion. Cryme Tyme are becoming respectable thieves. Oh lookee, Vincey got his airtime berating Teddy. Yay. JoMo defeated a jobber named The Haas or something. There was nothing organic in the "Mr. Ziggles" promo, but you've got to start somewhere. Points go to JoMo for at least showing he has a pulse. Sadly our man Mr. Ziggles looked like he was having flashbacks to his Sissy Squad days. Or maybe all of that "My name is Dolph Ziggler" crap affected his brain. Maybe Mr. Ziggles is mentally challenged. Who knows. Pretty Ricky got beat up by a man so bad, he has a ponytail. Drew McIntrye vs. Sheamus. There can be only one. Que up Queen.

Concerning the final build-up for Leaking Joint, Punk finally re-debuted the Anaconda Vise...in the final minutes of the show. Yeah, that's real good. It's like WWE isn't even bothering to put much of anything in
to this Punk-Undertaker feud yet because it's early. So they had the dead man stop from eating from a can of beans and talk about stealing souls. Whoo. The Punk-Undertaker feud doesn't have a soul. We're just hoping WWE doesn't screw us with this risky PPV.

About Breaking Point, I was sold more on buying Bob Barker's book. Sorry to have bothered you during your slumber, WWE. You can go back to sleep with visions of 400,000 PPV buys dancing in your heads.

Jon Mezzera, PWTorch.com Contributor (6.5)

This was a solid, but not particularly great episode of Smackdown. Part of the problem lies in the set up to Undertaker vs. CM Punk at Breaking Point. I'm just not yet into this feud, and feel the submission format is being forced onto it too soon. It has been hurried and didn't really connect with me as the final sell for the PPV. I also wasn't thrilled with Mike Knox taking the loss to Finlay in the Belfast Brawl. It is possible the feud will continue, but this should have been the end of the feud, and if it was, Knox should have won.

There were some positives on the show. I enjoyed Chris Jericho & The Big Show vs. Cryme Tyme. I liked their feud last month and was glad to see them wrestling again. They played to their strengths very well. I particularly liked the ending as JTG skinned the cat back into the ring, kicking Jericho in the process, only to take the big knock out punch from Show. I also liked the verbal exchange between Dolph Ziggler and John Morrison. Morrison sounded better on the mic as a babyface than he had previously. Ziggler was good too. I like the notion that Ziggler would be upset over someone getting his name wrong after WWE spent months building him up as the guy who always introduces himself, but I'm not sure the name calling by Morrison was that funny. It was ok, but not great.

The best part of Smackdown was the main event submission match of Punk vs. Matt Hardy. It was better than their match the previous week. It had good wrestling action and was a good bit of hype for the submissions PPV. It was also wise of WWE to have Punk do the Anaconda Vice once before the PPV, although he should have been doing it more often in the last month.

Greg Parks, PWTorch.com Contributor (6.0)

The first thing I think of when I think of this show is the awful "Mr. Ziggles" promo John Morrison did, which is not a good way to remember this episode. The Punk opening promo was fine, but his feud with Undertaker, as I've said before, doesn't feel organic. I don't get the point of putting Finlay over in the Belfast Brawl, especially since they're finally giving Mike Knox a character. The match itself was fine.

The tag team match was good, as we've gotten used to from these four. Haas vs. Morrison was a way for the announcers to talk about Morrison's title win. Melina vs. Layla was about what you'd expect. I like what they're doing with Drew McIntyre and R-Truth. Build up to the big match, not have a feud that solely consists of them wrestling each other, with nothing to build to. The main event was OK, but it's clear Matt Hardy isn't 100%. Still, it's not like the match was bad or anything.
