James Caldwell, Torch Assistant Editor (7.5)

This show was worth watching for one match and one match only: Evan Bourne vs. Carlito. Just an awesome match that showed what those two are capable of on the Raw mid-card if given a chance to shine. It's the perfect combination of wrestlers, as Carlito's offense looked impressive and he looked like a tough, menacing heel compared to Bourne. Meanwhile, Bourne's character stands out when he's able to make those underdog comebacks against a larger foe. The nearfalls, reversals, strikes, and teased finishes leading to the Air Bourne for the win was perfectly laid out. Easily one of the best matches on Superstars I've seen.

The next highlight of the show was the Edge video package with the remix of his theme song building to the video package on his Royal Rumble return and victory. An excellent piece of video that followed the Bourne vs. Carlito match.

The six-man tag main event was pretty much forgettable. Tyson Kidd was lost in the background, D.H. Smith hasn't developed a personality, and Drew McIntyre just doesn't "jump off the screen" to connect with home viewers. He's just a guy holding a belt right now. The babyface trio was focused on Great Khali's awkward dance, which WWE apparently hopes will help elevate Matt Hardy. Seriously, that was my conclusion after the Khali Dance was the centerpiece of the before & after of the match. Just odd stuff.

Jon Mezzera, PWTorch.com Contributor (7.0)

This was a hard show to grade. If you read me Hits & Misses, you'll see that I only had one Hit, while I had two Misses, which would suggest a negative score. However, I am giving it a positive 7. I'm giving it that score because the one Hit was for Carlito vs. Evan Bourne which I really enjoyed. It was a very good match. It made me think that Bourne and Carlito were given a good amount of time for their match for a change and they decided to try to steal the show. Bourne reminded us that he is capable of so much more than just hitting a few high flying spots. Carlito looked rejuvenated. This was the best WWE match of the week so far. I haven't seen Smackdown spoilers or even the line up of Elimination Chamber qualifiers, but this has a chance to remain the best match of the week.

My only complaints about the show were pretty minor. The other two matches were solid tag matches. They were fine. I had no problem with them, but they weren't particularly good either. My first complaint about the show was Michael Cole's use of a variation of the phrase "steals a victory" twice, first during the Divas tag when Alicia Fox used a legal move to get the victory in a way that could never be seen as stealing a victory. The second was after Bourne hit a high impact move and went for a cover on Carlito and Cole asked if Bourne was going to steal a victory. How is hitting a big move and attempting a pin stealing a victory? He drives me crazy. However, those are two short comments from and announcer that really didn't hurt the over all quality of the show. My other Miss for Superstars was the name NXT for the new WWE show that was officially announced. Really, that has nothing to do with the quality of Superstars either as it had nothing to do with this show. That's how I ended up with a positive score.

Greg Parks, Torch Columnist (8.0)

Evan Bourne vs. Carlito was the highlight of the show. They wrestled a very tight match in a style that didn't feel like they were just out there doing gymnastics. I hope someone in the back took notice of that match. I thought it odd they'd advertise NXT for the first time during this show, as opposed to Raw or Smackdown. The opening Divas tag match was OK and I was surprised they got so much time.

I had the main event tag match pegged a little better than James did. It helped that Khali had such a small part of the match. I could take or leave Khali's dancing, it doesn't really affect me either way to be honest. Not sure why they had Khali get the win here, but putting Morrison on the side of the victors may have gotten him some heat back after his loss last week to McIntyre on Smackdown.
