Ring of Honor returns to action this weekend with the sixth installment of Glory By Honor. This will be a huge weekend for ROH as it marks the first ever appearance by the Japanese wrestling legend Mitsuharu Misawa. Two gigantic NOAH matches will be the headliners for both nights this weekend. Unfortunately, due to injury the recently crowned ROH champion Nigel McGuinness will be out of action. He is hoped to be able to return by Final Battle '07 on December 30th, but if he cannot return to action by that date the belt will be held up. Now onto the cards for Philadelphia and Manhattan!

Glory By Honor VI: Night One - Philadelphia, Pa.

The faction wars are heating up this fall with the majority of the matches on night one pitting members of said factions against each other.

Brent Albright & B.J. Whitmer of the Hangmen Three will be taking on Kevin Steen & El Generico in a grudge match. Steen stuck with Generico when the Hangmen Three offered him a spot in their stable earlier last month, and now Albright and Whitmer have a chance to take them out. It will be interesting to see where Steen and Generico wind up in the coming months, as they seem to have cooled since their feud with the Briscoes ended at the Man Up pay per view.

The Top of the Class trophy will be defended by Mitch Franklin when he takes on Ernie Osiris. This will ultimately be an opener or the popcorn match, but it should provide some decent in ring action.

Delirious continues his feud with the NRC when he faces Davey Richards in singles competition. They've had some good run ins with each other this year, so this should be a good encounter. Delirious has already scored some big wins over NRC members this year, so we'll see if he can continue that against Davey Richards on Friday.

The Vulture Squad of Jack Evans & Ruckus & Jigsaw are set to face off against the Age of the Fall in a tag team scramble match. ROH's trip to the West Coast ended with all of the factions pretty much going haywire against each other, and the Age of the Fall has already had their fair share of violent matches since revealing themselves at Man Up, so this should provide a lot of action and a lot of violence.

The Best of Three series will be determined this weekend between Bryan Danielson and Austin Aries. Aries defeated Danielson in the first match, but the American Dragon returned the favor out West. This has the potential to be a show stealing Match of the Year type encounter, with the winner receiving a future Title shot, presumably against McGuinness at Final Battle.

The Briscoes defend their ROH Tag Titles against Rocky Romero & Roderick Strong in what should be a good match. The NRC is looking to add some gold to their stable, but the Briscoes will be out to show why they are the best tag team in wrestling today.

That brings us to the main event of the evening. Four of Pro Wrestling NOAH's top stars will collide in an epic tag team main event as former ROH World Champion Takeshi Morishima teams up with Naomichi Marufuji to take on the team of KENTA and the current reigning GHC Heavyweight Champion, Mitsuharu Misawa. This will be a special match as it will be the first ever appearance for Misawa in ROH.

Glory By Honor VI: Night Two - Manhattan, N.Y.

ROH makes another appearance at the Manhattan Center for night two of Glory By Honor weekend, and there are some big time feuds that will be in play on Saturday night.

In a rematch from the Race to the Top tournament, El Generico will face Chris Hero who will have his Sweet and Sour, Inc. entourage along with him. This should be a pretty good low to mid card match for the show, but it won't be a show stealer on this night.

A NOAH vs. ROH match will take place in Manhattan as well when Naomichi Marufuji takes on Claudio Castagnoli. Claudio's had some very good matches for ROH in 2007, and Marufuji as well has been good, so expect some very good in ring wrestling from these two at the Manhattan Center.

Factions put together from former Generation Next members will battle when Jack Evans's Vulture Squad faces off with Roderick Strong's No Remorse Corps. Jack Evans finally produced a faction of his own after months of anticipation, and now his team will get a shot at the NRC. This feud is all personal as the members of the NRC have done all they could to take Evans out, and now that Evans has back up, he's looking for some redemption.

There will be blood, sweat, and tears with the ROH Tag Titles on the line as the Briscoes finally have their match with the Age of the Fall. Jimmy Jacobs and company have made life hell for Jay and Mark Briscoe, taking them both out in gruesome scenes on separate occasions, and now the AotF have gotten their Title shot. They've stated that the Briscoes are only the beginning of their path of destruction in ROH, and the Briscoes have had enough of the games, so this one will be war. Expect nothing but violence from this match in New York.

The night's main event is massive. Mitsuharu Misawa makes his way to Manhattan to defend the GHC Heavywight belt in an ROH ring. In only his second career match against Misawa, with the first one being very early in his career, KENTA will have a chance to win the title. This will be a hard hitting contest that very well could provide a match of the year contender. Misawa brings his legacy to Manhattan, and I'm sure those in attendance will not leave disappointed.
