THE ABSURDITY OF IT ALL - WWE Raw 12/15: Don't Mess With Legacy, Kofi Awakens, Ron Paul Is Kelly Kelly's Boyfriend

I wasn't too sure of the point of the whole "fan/camera" bit with Santino and Beth. WWE is doing this thing where roll up-victories appear out of nowhere. The big psycho Kane comes out to have a chat with Kelly. Weird way to start off a show coming from a PPV.

Deuce-bag himself says that he is the son of WWE Hall of Famer Jimmy Snuka. Right. Just like how Mike Knox is the son of Hacksaw, Mr. Kennedy is the son of Piper, and Cena is the son of Hulk Hogan. Swallowing this "Sim Snuka" was tough, but at least WWE didn't get all "Snuka" crazy during the show. But in a few weeks this will all be forgotten and the fans will accept that Deuce is Sim Snuka.

Mike Knox should have won a Slammy for "Worst Finisher of the Year."

The best TV shot of the year. On the left side of the screen we have 2008 HBK broke and looking dejected. He is shaking hands with the evil JBL on the right. And in the middle, a fan is holding up a poster of a '90s HBK. It looks like the '90s HBK is questioning the decision made by 2008 HBK.

Some more Kane/Kelly crap. This is slightly disturbing as well as cheesy. Ah Kane. We so do love the storylines you are involved in. Next you know you will find out that Ron Paul was Kelly's girlfriend. (credit to www.fox-hound.us for pic).

Legacy got hyped up a lot tonight. Looks like they are pulling away Jericho as the main storyline and are running with Legacy.

Jericho gets himself some heel heat back by mocking puppy-dog Hacksaw. Thing actually made sense seeing how it was supposed to be a "warm-up" match for next's week big championship tournament doohickey.

Kane/Kelly crap.

Commercial break.

More Kane/Kelly crap.

Kofi lands a move I've never seen before: a flipping Russian leg sweep or something. Good stuff here. Where did this Raw tag team match come from? Kofi looked big here.

Kane comes out to beat up Kelly's boyfriend. It's Regal! No...it's the Miz! The whole point of this is to have an opponent for Kane, so it's probably Kofi in the end. Or Santino. Or Vince. Or Ron Paul.

Understand that they needed to set up whatever feud Kane is going to be in, but the whole thing took forever and really wasn't worth watching.

Some "exclusive" footage of the HBK promo. People can call that "exclusive." I call it lazy. Why would fans who bought the PPV want to watch a segment that they already seen? You can still get the same effect you were looking for if you bothered to do something fresh.

The divas can't believe that Kelly's boyfriend was the Miz. Ah, the life of a diva.

Dolph Ziggler comes out to wish everybody a Happy Festivus. Make a donation to the Human fund.

What I like about Dolph is that he screams a lot in his matches. "I...AM....DOLPH ZIGGLER!" Plus watching that fat bastard Santa get beat up was amusing.

The announcers paint Dolph as the worst human being on the planet for attacking Santa after the match. I'm guessing Charlie Haas will start dressing up as the hometown's sports team mascot.

Nice interaction between Steph and Jericho. But indeed Jericho had a ho-hum night. His promo with Hacksaw wasn't anything special. Steph did look strong here.

I'm guessing that next week there will be bits of Cryme Tyme making Jim Duggan hip or something.

The show ends with Orton punting Dave in the head. Looks like Orton will face Cena at the Rumble, considering how much the Legacy is getting pushed. I'm thinking back to the Evolution t-shirts. Maybe if Legacy had their own t-shirts, they could look something like this.

POSTIVES

-- JoMizzy vs. Punk/Kofi, especially Kofi
-- Deuce-bag doesn't get fired; Snuka character has a better shot than with '50s character
-- Dolph Ziggler; Charlie may have found his character
-- Main Event
-- Show pushed Orton and his Ortonholes

NEGATIVES

-- Odd "fan/camera" bit with Santino and Beth
-- Weird and uncomfortable Kane/Kelly bits that took up a large chunk of the show
-- "Care about Deuce because he's the son of Jimmy Snuka!" Groan.
-- The phrase "WWE Universe" is worse than "Cross The Line"
-- Showing the HBK promo again after PPV fans already saw it? Lazy
