By Chris Newth, PWTorch contributor

As Raw nears later tonight, let's take a brief look at what happened last week concerning the heated Orton-Triple H feud.

Randy Orton participated in some interviews with Michael Cole throughout the show from the safety of his own home in St. Louis. He seemed confident about his issues with Triple H and looked forward to the main event, which was slated to be a Handicap Match pitting Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase against the Game.

When questioned about the inexplicable attack on Triple H on Smackdown last week which defied Orton's own stipulation, the leader of the Legacy faction dodged the issue and basically said that he was exercising restraint because he could have continued his attack on Triple H. That response in no way addressed why he scrapped his own stipulation by physically provoking Triple H.

In any case, the end of Raw saw Triple H no-show the event altogether. As Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase awaited Triple H's entrance, the real fight was about to unfold over in St. Louis. The Cerebral Assassin broke into Orton's home using his signature sledgehammer, and Orton immediately dashed into a hiding place.

The rest of the scene played out like a backwards horror film where the bad guy was hiding from a stalking, vengeful hero. Triple H was eventually blindsided by an attack, but he ultimately gained the upper-hand and tossed Randy Orton through his own front window. Police then promptly arrested the Game.

The home invasion scene that closed the show seemed to be hit-or-miss. After reading some articles on PWTorch this week, you can tell that some people liked it better than others. Personally, I enjoy these rare sequences.

If you think about it, WWE creates the vast majority of its narrative world within the confines of an arena every week. We see the various rosters compete with each other in the ring and converse with one another in backstage areas such as the locker room or the General Manager's office. But we rarely ever get to see beyond the arena.

I'd love to see more footage from inside the homes of various people that we see compete each week in WWE. There's no question that a different feel is created when they allow their characters to act in a completely different setting. The need to expand the setting a little bit is made even more important with the universal HD set that WWE installed last year, which makes each of their shows look very similar with the exception of the graphics packages they use.

Seeing wrestlers in street clothes gives the story a unique feel too. It's subtle, but it's different because we are so accustomed to seeing them always in their ring gear despite the fact that they may only be cutting a promo.

So, what do you think? Would shooting more video within the homes (or anywhere outside the arena) of various superstars intrigue you? Does it change anything or is it just a waste of time and energy?

This week's events certainly ramped up the tension in the Orton-Triple H rivalry. With WrestleMania just around the corner, it wasn't too hard to figure out why WWE scrapped the hands-off stipulation that Orton and the Game agreed to just a week ago. The most anticipated thing to look forward to tonight is how Orton reacts to Triple H's home invasion. Will he be content that the Cerebral Assassin was arrested, or will he be infuriated that Triple H stormed into his house uninvited to seek revenge?
