NXT Weekly Rankings & Evaluation
By George Chiverton, PWTorch specialist

Episode - March 7, 2012 - Week 53

Rookie: Derrick Bateman
This Week's Performance: 3
Gimmick: 7
Last Week's Rank: #1
Rank: #1

Comments: Is Bateman even a wrestler? It seems like 90 percent of guest stars have spent more time in the ring than Bateman has over the last four or five weeks. Kim Kardashian spent more time in a ring than Bateman has. And, his jokes this week were even worse than that terrible effort at pop culture. It's getting frustrating. Fortunately for Derrick, his competition is becoming all the weaker by the week...

Rookie: Titus O'Neil
This Week's Performance: 2
Gimmick: 2
Last Week's Rank: #2
Rank: #2

Comments: Are you struggling to sleep? Can you not unwind after a stressful day at work? Then, I'd recommend watching Titus's main event match from this week's NXT. The slow pace and dull action forced me into an irreperable slumber. I tried to watch it again and the same happened. After repeating the process 34 more times, I decided to give up. Although, none of this is true, my unneccessary exxageration is the best way to sum up Titus this week. Deary me, it was dull.

***

Rookie: Darren Young
This Week's Performance: 4
Gimmick: -
Last Week's Rank: #3
Rank: #3

Comments: Weirdly, Darren looked good in comparison to his competitors, mainly due to the presence of an Uso in the ring with him. He wasn't good, but he was certainly better than Derrick and Titus. Fair play to him for that.

***

Other Comments: John Galbraith once said that pessimism is a mark of superior intellect and hence I feel that my article is actually a proof of my massive IQ.

As for Monday's Raw, I think it's proof that WWE is a massive fan of procrastination, because Cena and Rock seems to constantly take two steps forward and then 50 weeks back. Was this not how the feud started back when Cena was imminently facing The Miz? Rubbish. Utter rubbish.

Fortunately, I'm really, really liking Chris Jericho's new direction in his feud with C.M. Punk. I'm foolishly hoping someone with power in WWE will devote time to the WWE Title match build-up, as it seems like Plan D at WrestleMania behind Team Laurinaitis vs. Team Long, Cena vs. Rock, Undertaker vs. Triple H, and even Miz's fight to get to WrestleMania. It's rubbish. I may just be thinking that to up my mental capacity, though, who knows?

Anyways, NXT, please pull your socks up.
