Instant Reaction - Impact Wrestling 3/15
By Benjamin Tucker, PWTorch TV specialist

Overall Score - 5.5

I've been staring at my computer screen for about half-an-hour trying to think about tonight's Impact. The only things that really come to my mind are (1) This was so painfully dull and (2) This PPV hype was so painfully dull. Victory Road hype was there, which is good, but the hype itself left a lot to be desired. For one, there's two heel vs. heel matches for the show, and after tonight, viewers still don't know who to root for. The Knockout that cheated, or the other Knockout that cheated? The X Division champion who's cocky and brash, or the cocky and brash challenger? Any other hype tonight was extremely average - nothing awful, nothing spectacular.

Elsewhere, both KO matches weren't too exciting, but the Mr. Anderson-Daniels match was decent. I still don't care too much for Garett Bischoff, and the entire segment between him and Kurt Angle seemed to detract a bit from Angle's match with Hardy at Victory Road.

I will say that the final segment with Bobby Roode and Sting was well done. Roode has been doing a good job on the mic lately, and he carried Sting to a good segment. Once again, Psycho Sting still does not sit well with me, but it seems that the boat has sailed on that one. And, speaking of talking segments, Bully Ray and James Storm had one heck of a promo exchange earlier in the night. It's a shame that their feud was glossed over, as a five week build-up with a personal issue would be a money feud. Storm's match with Gunner was fine, but not as entertaining.

In the end, though, there's not much to critique about tonight's show. It was incredibly dull. Impact seems to have regressed back to where it was back in January, with inconsistent shows that were in general more boring to watch than bad. I'm still hopeful that TNA can eventually manage to get back to the quality shows they were having back in February.
