PWTorch Specialists Roundtable: What is the #1 question to be answered at WrestleMania 28 tonight?

Ben Tucker, PWTorch TV specialist

My number one question for Sunday has to be how/will Brock Lesnar or Batista get involved at the show. These two being added to the show could change the dynamic of the entire program. It would also show if WWE really has no faith in its current crop of talent to make money in the main event.

On that same note, how would the current roster react to having another name from the past take the spotlight for another year? These two men appearing tonight would change the story direction of WWE for the rest of the year, both on-screen and backstage. (Questions? Comments? Alex Roberts, PWTorch Review specialist

For me, the build-up to WrestleMania 28 has had an almost alchemical quality. Somehow, almost every piece of the hype has been lacking in some way, yet it has still miraculously transformed itself for me into a tremendous amount of excitement. I can't wait for tonight; when I take a few steps back and assess the card, though, it feels a lot more predictable than I think.

Sheamus-Bryan should be entertaining and I predict Sheamus will win, but the feud has been so light that it won't be a huge shock if Bryan holds onto the Big Gold Belt for a bit more. Likewise, neither outcome of Jericho-Punk will really shock me. Either Punk gets his WrestleMania moment, or Jericho squeaks out a victory, setting up a furious, hungry Punk chasing him to Chicago for Extreme Rules. And, while I am curious to see the role Shawn Michaels will play, I still just can't see a way that The Streak will end on Sunday.

All of this is a roundabout way of saying that Rock-Cena is that biggest, most obvious question mark for me. I don't think I'm alone in saying that the build-up for this match - or at least Rock and Cena's weekly face-to-face promos - has been horrendous. However, it's easy to forget that not every part of the build-up to Cena and Punk's classic Money In The Bank match last year was exactly perfect either. The main event spot at WrestleMania can forgive any number of flaws in the feud - the hometown energy for The Rock, I suspect, will forgive even more.

It's a bit early to start predicting (as WWE's "Once In A Lifetime" special did) that Cena and Rock will put on a match comparable to the best of all-time. I think there's a chance it can, though. I still see Cena winning clean, but the outcome is definitely not the most interesting aspect of this match. It's the quality of this year-in-coming match - and whether or not it can miraculously transcend it's disappointing build. That remains my biggest question. (Read Roberts's regular DVD/movie/book reviews, including a just-published Edge book review.)

Brian Leahy, PWTorch specialist

Despite being the most anticipated and loaded WrestleMania card for years (at least from where I'm sitting) there's very few questions I feel like I need to find the answer to in terms of how the storylines play out in Florida.

WWE has built a stacked card - filled with a handful of matches I really want to see - but I think I'm less intrigued by the actual results of both title matches than I've ever been for a WrestleMania. In the case of Triple H vs. Undertaker, I remain unconvinced that Undertaker will ever lose at Mania, but I'm open to being drawn into a situation where I think it could happen later tonight.

In reality, the most interesting question I want answered is "How does the Cena vs. Rock match finish?" As per the title matches, I don't necessarily care "who" wins, but it'll certainly be interesting to see the manner in which it plays out.

With that being said, there is of course another question which everyone wants an answer to: How will The Undertaker's hair look tonight? (Read Leahy's regular independent DVD & iPPV reviews)

Jimmy Eaton, Retrospective of the Common Fan specialist

I think above all else I'd like to have the freaking "mystery" GM solved. But, since that won't happen, I'll go ahead and choose one of the more obvious wants - to see how Rock vs. Cena is resolved. I actually am ready for that to move on to the next chapter or "end" at this point, as most of the other feuds I'd like to see keep going a bit longer. For example, Punk and Jericho can keep going to Summerslam for all I care with some of the material they can use to last through the summer. Do I expect that? Of course not, but it's just an example of how Rock and Cena is a bit different and feels like it's going to be a massive encounter that leads to a resolution that will hopefully be satisfactory for the bulk of their fanbase.

After a year build-up, I really am looking forward to seeing how the fan reaction is with this match, how it's booked, and especially how much time it gets so the match has a shot a being a classic. Is Rock ready? Can Cena give another performance like he did at last July's MITB PPV? Time will tell, and there isn't much time left until we find out.

I've really never been more pumped for a match, to be honest with you, even if most of it is curiosity as opposed to being really emotionally invested. I find it harder to be emotionally connected to a wrestling angle and instead look forward to seeing how a finish or conclusion executed with all the talent involved. I can understand why it's such a huge match and give WWE a lot of credit for sticking to it. Not to mention, if anyone can pull this off, I think Rock and Cena can. Either way, as a fan, this Sunday should be a blast with at least some things being resolved, while at the same time being the start of a new chapter for many Superstars. No complaints from me.
