WWE Raw Reax #2: "Every single time there's supposed to be a huge angle, it sucks!" Sep 11, 2007 - 2:22:27 AM
Michael Cardillo of Long Island, N.Y. (4.0): I will cut and paste my quote from last week..."Lastly, I will reveal the McMahon bastard son... Hornswoggle - "Things are looking up" and "he's Irish!" So I give this show a score of 4.0 because I should not be able to predict a storyline change from a real life controversey this easily!
Adam Dunn, MO (1.0) Best Match: None. Worst Match: Khali vs Jeff Hardy. What a freaking letdown. After Kennedy was suspended there was really no hope for this illegitimate child story line. Maybe C.M. Punk, or even Kenny Dykstra would be the son. We all talk of pushes for mid carders, but of course not, not in the WWE. Instead we get Hornswaggle. yeah, someone who can't wrestle and actual match and cannot do much of anything but run around and give Finlay a weapon. There better be a swerve for when Kennedy returns, because this is a killing blow to the WWE. As for the rest of the show... what? There's a PPV on Sunday? Hardy jobs, tag titles get five minutes, and Cena goes into overkill for his promo. Cena still sounds forced, even when he's faking tears. I cannot believe in him. Orton has got his down pat though. He knows what his character should be. Terrible show and Carlito will job on Sunday. Hornswoggle? What? Were the DX midgets busy?
Lynn Hodge: I have just thrown away so much of my life by actually being somewhat interested in the stupid illegitimate child angle. Every time, EVERY SINGLE TIME there is supposed to be a huge angle in pro wrestling, it sucks! I sat there wide eyed thinking, "McMahon just lost a 22 year fan. I cannot believe that is the best his crack writers could come up with." I suspect that he is pretty worried about the Congressional requests for info and is so preoccupied that he cannot focus on the product. That is unfortunate as he has now made TNA's booking look logical. The only thing dumber than having Hornswaggle as his kid is would be making fun of Congress and the I.R.S. on Raw as you are being investigated... oh, wait he's done that already! It is a sad day for wrestling when the biggest story of the year is a real life murder-suicide, which the media uses to entertain far more than any storyline the WWE's writers could ever create to amuse the viewers.

PWTORCH FORMAT CONVENTIONS
For the sake of clarity to our readers (and to save us time editing these same things over and over), please follow these simple conventions when writing Torch Reax:
-Wrestlers teaming together should be connected with "&" symbol (e.g. Hunter & Michaels, Devon & Ray) or with a "/" (e.g. Animal/Hawk, Harris/Storm), but not dashes and not the word "and."
-To designate wrestlers who are fighting, feuding, or wrestling each other, put a dash (-) between them (e.g. Michaels-McMahon, Jarrett-Sting, Hogan-Andre) or use "vs."
-The word versus should always be abbreviated this way: "vs." with a period afterward (not "v." or "v/s" or "VS" or "VS." or any other way).
-Plus, it's just our policy, but we don't indulge wrestling promotions' strange spelling fetishes where they spell Raw, Smackdown, Heat, Impact, etc. with the haphazard capitalization of various leTTeRz. It seems very "junior high," so no Raw (it's Raw), no iMPACT (it's Impact), etc.
-Please try to avoid overuse of dot-dot-dots. If you have a thought that's "trailing off," you can use for effect, but otherwise, just use periods, commas, and our personal favorite, semicolons if you dare. We have always had a policy of only one exclamation point and no ALL CAPS. Let your words convey the meaning of your point. There's many to choose from out there.
