Adam J. Grammas of Westchester, Ill. (0.0): Best: The storyline's over! Worst: Everything. Hornswaggle? THAT was the payoff? We went from the "Vince is dead, no he really faked it" angle to this? Let's start at the beginning of the night. What was the purpose of that first segment? Why were Khali, Jeff Hardy, and JBL of all people in the ring? Funny how they were sure to take Hardy off the list of suspects setting up for him to sell the Khali vice grip later. London & Kendrick really get zero reaction on Raw. Must be a much younger audience watching Smackdown. They actually acknowledged two overseas tag title changes. I wonder if they'll acknowledge all the past ones, bringing the total changes to 12,863. Regal is "convalescing." I hope if I ever am told to go home from work they tell everyone I'm "convalescing." Cena's mad because Orton kicked his dad, but no one cares because we want to know who Vince's kid is. Hopefully Candice drops the belt Sunday so Mickie can get back in the title matches. Santino has actually become one of the more entertaining moments on Raw. So the Diva Search has been reduced to being online only. So we won't be able to see ego-driven airheads with no knowledge of the business doing army crawls to the ring? Darn. As far as the main storyline, I guess I should've known that Vince's son would NOT be Hunter since they revealed that's who was winning the vote and then he was left in the ring with JBL (it wasn't going to be an announcer) and Sandman (yeah, right). So Hunter standing there wasn't much of a surprise revelation. But after all that buildup, they end it like that? They could've taken the opportunity to get someone like a Kennedy over, but I guess that wasn't going to happen since he's a liar besides being a user. At least with the "higher power" angle, it lead to a further storyline. This just went nowhere. Wait, I guess I should be happy that this stopped it dead in its tracks!
Frank T. of Long Island, N.Y. (9.0): Best Match: Triple H vs Shelton Benjamin. Worst Match: The Great Khali vs. Jeff Hardy. I don't understand what people were expecting here. Chris Jericho is not coming back, at least not now. Paul Wight is not coming back, not after he was named by Signature Pharmacy. C.M. Punk, Shelton Benjamin, Mr. Kennedy, Bobby Lashley do not need the exposure. All they need is stop being jobbed out and get some wins to get them over the top. This has been a comedy angle from the start and this is the funniest way to end it. It's also good for Smackdown that something involving McMahon will make him appear on the blue show for a change. I keep asking what more can Vince do to humiliate himself for his WWE baby, I guess he found the way. Hysterical. It's amazing to me how people don't talk about how there is a guy who can barely walk as World Champion. Granted, he can be believable at certain times but he needs to work on walking a little more. I always think he may fall down walking down the ramp while making sure he holds the World Title right side up when he does the thing he's best at - holding up the belt and screaming.
Jason Buhrman of Maryland (0.5): I've watched wrestling since the mid-'80s and I've got to say that this was one of the worse if not THE worse wrestling show I've ever seen. I'm not a Cena fan and will never pretend to be. His ten or so run ups the ramp only to be stopped by security over and over was like watching paint dry; then the unfocused yelling backstage was nothing but noise. I'm sure creative had a fun time writing that little segment. And let's get to the bastard son; well, why even go there. It was as great as Papa Shango putting a hex on the Warrior, or when Zeus was wrestling Hogan, or when Earthquake took on Tugboat, or when... (You get the picture.) It's sad that the focus of the show is still on Vince and not the talent. If creative wanted to fix the show, they would let the wrestlers do their jobs, cut their own interviews and give ideas that can be done and not killed in a board room. The WWE product is a farce of what it once was. If you were a fan of wrestling in the late-'90s, the fun is over, I suggest getting DVDs of WCW and WWF. As for me, I'll try chess.
Jake K. Martin: Just a quick note on an otherwise bland episode of Raw... This Hornswaggle angle COULD be great. I predict an Austin Powers/Mini-Me type of angle here that could easily take us thru the next few months with a high level of comedy potential. At first Vince will resent and hate the Lil Bastard, but eventually will grow to love his sidekick as Hornswaggle morphs into a mini - Vince. This has a chance...

PWTORCH FORMAT CONVENTIONS
For the sake of clarity to our readers (and to save us time editing these same things over and over), please follow these simple conventions when writing Torch Reax:
-Wrestlers teaming together should be connected with "&" symbol (e.g. Hunter & Michaels, Devon & Ray) or with a "/" (e.g. Animal/Hawk, Harris/Storm), but not dashes and not the word "and."
-To designate wrestlers who are fighting, feuding, or wrestling each other, put a dash (-) between them (e.g. Michaels-McMahon, Jarrett-Sting, Hogan-Andre) or use "vs."
-The word versus should always be abbreviated this way: "vs." with a period afterward (not "v." or "v/s" or "VS" or "VS." or any other way).
-Plus, it's just our policy, but we don't indulge wrestling promotions' strange spelling fetishes where they spell Raw, Smackdown, Heat, Impact, etc. with the haphazard capitalization of various leTTeRz. It seems very "junior high," so no Raw (it's Raw), no iMPACT (it's Impact), etc.
-Please try to avoid overuse of dot-dot-dots. If you have a thought that's "trailing off," you can use for effect, but otherwise, just use periods, commas, and our personal favorite, semicolons if you dare. We have always had a policy of only one exclamation point and no ALL CAPS. Let your words convey the meaning of your point. There's many to choose from out there.
