Bryan Randles of Detroit, Mich. (3.0) Best Match: Triple H vs. Shelton. Worst Match: McMahon/Hornswoggle. Cena, in 20 seconds, accomplised more than he had in months for his character. His little promo was worth its weight in gold, more so than his toy belt. If Cena doesn't flip out and get DQ'd on Sunday, WWE is completely missing their own point. Couldn't Carlito get Shelton DQ'd, instead of the pinfall and have the same effect? Wouldn't it have made even more sense, considering after the match it was announced Carlito would be allowed a no DQ stipulation? If Carlito doesn't win, or Triple H isn't DQ'd, again they're missing their own point. I'm almost distraught over the Jeff Hardy situation. Jobbed out to Khali, like that? Okay, I'd understand if it was a punishment thing, but why put the IC Title on him than? I'm not a Hardy mark, but I do enjoy the guy, and drug problems arn't fixed with jobbing punishment either. JBL, Khali and whoever else can beg all they want to be McMahon's kid, but it's pointless for them to do, because it doesn't effect who McMahon impregnanted, which means it's pointless for us to watch. How about McMahon throws his kids aside and looks for a new heir angle? It's his will, he can write in whoever he wants. WWE needs to realize that, and understand they completely wasted the first 15 minutes of the show, in their own created storyline. I knew WWE wouldn't sink as low as Triple H, but Hornswoggle? Make up your mind! Does WWE include Wrestling, or is it just World Wide Entertainment? This story goes nowhere except for a couple lame, borderline comedic moments. Hopefully they're funnier than the initial reactions, because they wern't funny. They had a chance to whirlwind a Dyksta, Benjamin, or anybody else, but instead they went for low-brow comedy. If i'm watching a two hour comedy show, it needs to get funnier. If I'm watching a two hour drama show, they need to add more of that. If it's a dramedy they need more of both. It's obviously not a wrestling show, because it's sports entertainment. Sadly, the sport is disappearing, and the entertainment value is pathetic. I can sum WWE's needs in one word. Focus! Go out and get it! Pick a side, stick to it, and run with it. It's not that hard.
Rob Pekel of Jacksonville, N.C. (3.0): Best match: Triple vs. Shelton Benjamin. Worst match: Everything else. I thought this was a terrible show. As it has been for a very, very long time. Having Triple H build up Carlito into a heel people can care about again I thought was great. I have been watching wrestling for almost 20 years. Believe me the Vince son angle is now one of the worst segments I have seen. I rate this right along WCW's Robocop. Triple H could have been comedy gold, anyone else could have been genius. Especially Kennedy, although I wouldn't reward him with a monster push either after violating the wellness policy in the face of hearings with Congress. I do believe I am finally done. Vince has crushed it for me. Seeing Hornswaggle being Vince's son is enough for me to say it is time to move on. It was funny, my wife asked my why I still watch this crap when week after week I am disappointed. I told her tonight I wanted to see Triple H in the ring, which to me was an impressive match. I think those two are outstanding workers in the ring. Shelton can hang with the best of them, he just was never given a decent push. If Vince would have concentrated more on building talent than stroking his own ego, we wouldn't have had to sit through Hornswaggle. So thank you Vince, thank you for saving me the money from PPVs this year. Hell, I don't think I'll be getting WrestleMania either. Which is hard for me because I have ordered and seen them all since number one. But I have had enough. To all the WWE workers, thank you for the entertainment. Your boss has killed wrestling for me.
Brian Rathjen of Eldridge, Iowa (7.5): I can't really rate the matches fairly, since I was switching back and forth between other channels, watching wrestling and checking up on my mother as she prepares for surgery. However, I'd like to remark on the "Bastard Son" angle. I think some fans are being a little bit too harsh on the WWE for this revelation. For those who thought the revelation of Hornswoggle as McMahon's "illegitimate son" was a letdown, then I challenge them to state whom they thought that person/wrestler should have been (such as some monster heel). Yet, I don't read this in their critiques; all I see is "what a letdown," "all this hype for this," etc. For me, yes it was a surprise, but there were no crude punchlines at the end, Hornswoggle was funny (and so was Triple H ROTFL and McMahon's expression), and it was a good way to end the show. Yes, it would have been nice to see McMahon's "son" be Shawn Michaels, Mick Foley or (how predictable would this have been) "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, all whom were born before Vince's real-life marriage to Linda. Also, for all those long-time fans who swear this was the last Raw they would watch, I'll see you in front of the TV on Monday nights in a month. As for the rest of the show, the high point was John Cena's run-in during Randy Orton's promo; I think they ought to make this a steel cage match or one of the more violent match types (which I sense will happen before this feud is done anyway). Cena was intense as always, and I think this should be a must-see match at Unforgiven.

PWTORCH FORMAT CONVENTIONS
For the sake of clarity to our readers (and to save us time editing these same things over and over), please follow these simple conventions when writing Torch Reax:
-Wrestlers teaming together should be connected with "&" symbol (e.g. Hunter & Michaels, Devon & Ray) or with a "/" (e.g. Animal/Hawk, Harris/Storm), but not dashes and not the word "and."
-To designate wrestlers who are fighting, feuding, or wrestling each other, put a dash (-) between them (e.g. Michaels-McMahon, Jarrett-Sting, Hogan-Andre) or use "vs."
-The word versus should always be abbreviated this way: "vs." with a period afterward (not "v." or "v/s" or "VS" or "VS." or any other way).
-Plus, it's just our policy, but we don't indulge wrestling promotions' strange spelling fetishes where they spell Raw, Smackdown, Heat, Impact, etc. with the haphazard capitalization of various leTTeRz. It seems very "junior high," so no Raw (it's Raw), no iMPACT (it's Impact), etc.
-Please try to avoid overuse of dot-dot-dots. If you have a thought that's "trailing off," you can use for effect, but otherwise, just use periods, commas, and our personal favorite, semicolons if you dare. We have always had a policy of only one exclamation point and no ALL CAPS. Let your words convey the meaning of your point. There's many to choose from out there.
