Adam Riemer, Brooklyn, NY (6.7): Best match: Hornswoggle entertainment. Worst Match: Mixed Tag. This was an above-average Raw, only because of one man: Hornswoggle McMahon. The bastard son story line continues to be hilarious and the fans just eat up Hornswoggle. But like any gimmick like this (e.g. Eugene) it only has a limited shelf life. But, all in all, it is entertaining. Triple H vs. McMahon for the 1 millionth time is lame; they need a top heel to feud with Hunter. Triple H vs. Vince is more played out than Kane vs. Undertaker. Speaking of needing a heel, anybody see that graphic that looked like the matrix feed before they cut to a commercial? It was totally random and I have a strange feeling that it is leading to a return of Chris Jericho.
Adam J. Grammas, Westchester, IL (3.0): Best-none. Worst-egos. Just nothing to get excited about here, but lots of questions. It begins with an angle in which Melina tells Hornswoggle she's never really gotten to know him since he was always on Smackdown. Um, didn't she spend a few years there? Then Hardcore Holly makes his return. Isn't he on ECW? (They could use the man power on the roster.) How did he get to Raw? Maria comes to the ring with Santino. How come she plays "the dummy" on Raw, with the wide eyes and lip biting, but on Smackdown last Friday, she was the hippest gal in town? If I am ever stranded at sea, I want it to be with Jillian. Not just because of the flotation devices out front, but because I could use her lips as a lifesaver. Never understood how that's attractive. Then we get to the second half of the show, Raw is Hunter. Notice how the only person Trips loses to is Vince? And then he gets his heat back immediately by kicking the crap out of someone they should be making into a star. Finally, I know it's just wrestling and we are supposed to suspend our reality, but how exactly would a camera man be allowed in the female locker room to film a woman mid-shower?
Daren C. Hindman, KY (4.5): Best Match: Possible Y2J Return, Hardy/Michelle v. Benjamin/Phoenix. Worst Match: Cena-Coach. This show is definitely a show to keep me or lose me as a fan. IF the clip w/"save us" on it was not a sign of a Jericho return, and WWE fails on this as it has with so many other storylines, I will resign my position as a fan of WWE after 20 plus years. Raw needs something new. Y2J could elevate new talent in ways that Triple H, Shawn Michaels, John Cena don't, or won't. Anyhow, Coach is insanely inconsistent as a GM, so seeing him get his by Cena was good on paper, but horrible in the ring. I am surprised that I am enjoying Hornswoggle as Vince's "bastard son." The scenes with Melina show "Vince" qualities in Hornswoggle, something sorely needed for this storyline. I am disgusted with Bob Holly being on Raw. Why they didn't put him back on ECW is beyond me! The cage match was tolerable, until the end with Vince taking 100 years to get out of the cage. I know he's not a "wrestler," but he was so slow exiting that anyone with a brain could tell Triple H could've stopped him. We need a payoff to this Marella-Simmons deal, as it's growing old with Triple H-Vince. I already dread next week's "main event." The tag match with Hardy/Candice v. Benjamin/Phoenix shows that Hardy and Benjamin are underutilized, and Candice and Beth are improving greatly in the ring. Overall, not a bad show, but there are too many swings between good/bad with Raw lately. Let's hope Y2J will "Save Raw."

PWTORCH FORMAT CONVENTIONS
For the sake of clarity to our readers (and to save us time editing these same things over and over), please follow these simple conventions when writing Torch Reax:
-Wrestlers teaming together should be connected with "&" symbol (e.g. Hunter & Michaels, Devon & Ray) or with a "/" (e.g. Animal/Hawk, Harris/Storm), but not dashes and not the word "and."
-To designate wrestlers who are fighting, feuding, or wrestling each other, put a dash (-) between them (e.g. Michaels-McMahon, Jarrett-Sting, Hogan-Andre) or use "vs."
-The word versus should always be abbreviated this way: "vs." with a period afterward (not "v." or "v/s" or "VS" or "VS." or any other way).
-Plus, it's just our policy, but we don't indulge wresting promotions' strange spelling fetishes where they spell Raw, Smackdown, Heat, Impact, etc. with the haphazard capitalization of various leTTeRz. It seems very "junior high," so no RAW (it's Raw), no iMPACT (it's Impact), etc.
-Please try to avoid overuse of dot-dot-dots. If you have a thought that's "trailing off," you can use for effect, but otherwise, just use periods, commas, and our personal favorite, semicolons if you dare. We have always had a policy of only one exclamation point and no ALL CAPS. Let your words convey the meaning of your point. There's many to choose from out there.
