WWE Raw Reax #1: "With all that hype, it turned out, in my opinion, to be a big dud." Nov 19, 2007 - 10:57:51 PM
Eric Gall of Bridgeport, Conn. (7.0): Best Match: The second coming of Y2J. Worst Match: All things Orton (except that Gorbachev splotch on his forehead). You would have to go back at least five years to come up with the last big moment Raw has had tonight. After misstep after misstep, WWE has finally done something right. Hearing the countdown and Jericho's music made me think "Maybe putting up with all the usual bullshit is worth it after all." Edge is back; Flair's coming back next week. There are no more excuses to be made; Vince and Co. need to man up and start delivering quality shows from here on out. Bottom line - Y2J is back. Let's see if he does save us all from the doldrums WWE has been wallowing in ever since he left.
Mosh of Nebraska (5.0): Best: Hardy vs. Umaga. Worst: Women's match: This is the first raw I watched from start to finish for three years, I was let down. Y2J is the reason, and his return was a letdown! New material, that is what we need, not the same old catch phrases! One thing I did see was Y2Y's thinning hair when he clotheslined the runner. New material, please!
Adam Dunn of Missouri (7.0): Best Match: Hardy vs. Umaga, Worst Match: Holly vs. Rhodes. First things first, Carlito needs to go to management tomorrow and officially quit the WWE. It's pointless for him to hang around anymore; he gets no push and has to job to two moves. It's sad, he deserves better. Jeff Hardy is officially on a great roll; what a great finishing sequence with Umaga, minus the Snitsky crap. Jeff is doing really well and it's getting more and more fun to watch him. Most of the show was the passing of time until Jericho returned. And congrats to the production crew for the badass intro he got, along with his old badass music. What an entrance. His promo? Classic Jericho, and that's all we need. Let's just hope they give him something great to do while he's back and they do it right. Go, Jericho, Go.
Martin: Best: Ric Flair is back next Monday. Worst: Jericho. As a long time fan its good to see that, apparently, Vince and 'Naitch solved their problems and he will get his proper send off. As for Jericho, he looks like he is well aware of the Wellness Policy, as he looks like a cruiserweight, the more I think about it, good for him and his health no matter what. But, with all that hype, it turned out, in my opinion, to be a big dud. Why, everyone knew. The WWE blew this one, again.
