TNA Impact Reax #1 (w/Poll): "Once we were given another bait and switch, I flipped over to ECW." Dec 7, 2007 - 3:01:11 PM
Edward S. Reisinger of West Des Moines, Iowa - VIP Torch Member (3.5): Best Match: Angle/Christian Alliance Segment. Worst Match: LAX vs Black Reign & Relik (all blame to Reign and Relik). I didn't think that anything, with the exception of the Angle/Christian alliance angle was that good. The whole concept of Senshi-Daniels was good and the match was alright. While I flipped back and forth between Impact and ECW, I mainly stayed with Impact, since it was it's company main running show and ECW is WWE's C-brand. For the most part I felt justified in doing that, as the WWE still pulled matches like Throne vs unknown jobber even when they had competion. While I didn't watch the TNA PPV, I became interested how they would play out the whole suitcase/title matches or firing thing on Impact. So, once we were given another bait and switch, I flipped over to ECW, desipe knowing C.M. Punk vs. Mark Henry would suck. I seldomly watch TNA and they blew the chance they had; it will be a long time before they'll get another chance, again.
Sam Robinson - New VIP Torch member (8.5): Best Match: Six-man ladder match Worst: Opener with Rellik and Reign and the briefcase mystery. Tonight's episode of Impact was a pretty solid one with lots of advancement in many of the best ongoing stories. I'm glad to see the LAX vs. Rock & Rave thing moving along nicely; if they run it slow and steady I think it might be almost as good as Balls-Miz with Kelly from ECW the past few months before Vince pulled it because he hates anything from the original ECW. Man, the whole briefcase fiasco is really going to come back and bite them in the ass. I feel so bad for both Williams and Daniels to be involved with this thing. I mean those two were a good part of the reason I started watching Impact in the first place. Well if we all thought Senshi's case had the pink slip, weren't we shocked it went to Daniels? Who wants to bet that the pink slip is in B.G.'s case? You'll be throwing money away if you bet against it as a blind man could have seen that foreshadowing with the "Voodoo Princess" calling the case cursed. The X-Division-3D feud is moving along nicely as well and I love watching it play out as Ray is such a good heel and the MCMG are just so in sync in the ring. The main event was good for what it was, and the rub that Roode, Young, and Kaz all got from it was great in helping their careers move forward. Not sure that I'm sold on Young being in the main even, though, but I was until last night. The spot he blew with the float-through crossbody off the top was just bad, and it made me realize that A.J. can make anyone look good. Now the thing I'm most interested in has definitely got to be where is this Christian/Kurt thing going, and what role will Tomko play. This has been my favorite storyline on any show for months now and it's finally coming to a head, and it is so worth it. I totally geeked out last night when Christian told Tomko "Don't look at me... Hey look at me when I'm talking to you." It was so good and made my night.
