Terrie Neilson of Las Vegas, Nev. (8.0): Best: Christian. Worst: Judas's return Tonight's show served as a transition show, and actually did an all right job. Still a lot to process, but the questions of the "Feast or Fired" cases have been answered. Unfortunately, a Williams-Steiner feud doesn't grab my attention: Steiner is too far past his prime to be either World or X champ, and Williams hasn't been pushed nearly enough to be it, either. Daniels is fired, which does shock me as I haven't read anywhere that he was legit leaving. A reconstruct on the horizon, maybe? With Senshi gone, the all but non-existent Elix Skipper's place is in jeopardy. And VKM may be splitting... hooray! Looks like Kaz has hit the glass ceiling. The whole case revealing with done with "Deal Or No Deal" suspense, but should not have been shown in separate segments as it was clearly out of sync with everything else. Christian was the MVP of the show, as unlike the complete nonsense of the multiple Kurt Angle segments, the multiple Christian segments had the purpose of him finding a partner and seeing his ways with people coming back to bite him. I think it's a bit of a stretch, but TNA be trying a "It's A Wonderful Life" turn of sorts. Tonight was a good step in that direction, assuming that's where it's going. All the matches were kinda there, save for the main event. But end was almost a cruel irony as the show's subtitle was "Christian's Revenge,"...and he really didn't get it.
Cary Johnson of Baltimore, Md. (9.0): Best Match: Christian vs. Cage/Roode... Feast or Fired segments. Worst Match: None. I have to say it and this goes against the traditional Internet grain but... I love Impact. It continues to crank out very entertaining shows week after week. TNA does more with their roster overall than all of WWE's brands do combined. Tonight's Impact was good. Christian was on top of his game tonight. I really like TNA KnockOuts. When Traci lost tonight, it seemed as though TNA was going in another direction with her as she got into a shouting and shoving match with Jackie Moore. And when Robert Roode entered and verbally assaulted Jackie, I saw Traci smile as she liked the idea of Roode actually defending her. Then Roode turned the tables and attacked her. Good reverse psychology on Roode's part, and Traci sold the storyline great. To tell the truth, I think the Knockout division of TNA has HUGELY advanced itself way more than I ever thought was possible. After what WWE has done to ladies wrestling, TNA has revived the genre. I really look forward to seeing what TNA does with their Knockout girls every week. Where was Awesome Kong tonight? She's my favorite Knockout. LOL. I loved the "Feast or Fired" segments. I am a huge fan of "Deal or No Deal" as I think most people are aware of the show and TNA did a great job in presenting it tonight. When it got down to Steiner and Daniels, I never thought that Daniels would be the one fired; I can truthfully say that TNA had me fooled me on that one. I loved the part where Jeremy Borash said "let's open the cases... right after this commercial break." Great timing and good touch. I laughed out loud at that one. The Abyss/Jim Mitchell segment needs to be wrapped up and fast. Abyss has gone from being a monster to being a punching bag. All this talk about a secret isn't compelling anymore. Joe did a very emotional interview face-to-face with Christian where he slammed TNA and everybody in it. All in all, I enjoyed the show and, while there were bits and pieces TNA could improve on, I consistently enjoy the show more than any of the WWE shows and I've felt this way for the last year or so. Good show.
Sam Robinson Sykesville, Md. - Web Designer (5.5): Best: Most about even. Worst: Kaz vs. Rellik. All right, Christian is just gold on the mic in everything he does. The case thing and the cheesy game show music are just about ready to make me do something drastic. Kaz is awesome, but even he can’t make Reign and Rellik look good, but then who can? And isn’t that weapon supposed to cut you, Kaz? Don’t worry, I wouldn’t blade for those two, either. Nice to see to Angelina and Velvet get some mic time; they actually seem to have some personality. Roode has come a long way and his program with Booker should be interesting. Do Abyss and the rest of the booking crew like dancing on the grave of Chris Benoit? I’m okay with the blood, but the chairshots are just uncalled for anymore, and who give a crap about this storyline? Christian pandering for partners is priceless; that’s it, just priceless. Let’s just give Lethal back his belt already; they can still feud, but it’s so silly to say he’s a champ without a belt. So how the heck do you do a tag team strap match; we all know it’s going there next. Well, that was unexpected! What is Daniels going to do now? Joe has every right to be that pissed, but was the language necessary? Why does this Angle Alliance seem so weak even though Don West is trying to sell me on its strength? This would have had a much higher rating had it not been for the case mystery being dragged out so much. I nearly broke my TV screen just to get relief from this bad storyline. This really sucked the energy out of tonight's show.
