TNA Destination X Reax #1: "The women tore the house down again. The best women's division in wrestling bar none." Mar 9, 2008 - 11:06:57 PM
Matt Guerra of Bayonne N.J. (8.0): Best match of the night was the first match of the night with LAX vs. Rock 'n' Rave Infection vs. MCMG. As for the worst match of the night, that's the Elevation X match. The main event was quick, but it did what it had to. This PPV showed why TNA is the better brand, by using athletic ability and moves WWE just doesn't let its wrestlers do.
Sean Banks (8.0): LAX vs. Machineguns vs. Rock 'n Rave and Women's Title match. Worst: Elevation X. TNA put on one hell of a PPV tonight. Every match was great and had meaning with the exception of Elevation X and Roode-Booker. The opening match set the tone for tonight. The X Division Title match was great. I was thinking of taking a break during the Eric Young match, but I'm glad I didn't. People say bad things about TNA's booking, but that was just comedic genious right there. Very funny stuff and put EY over even more. The women tore the house down again. The best women's division in wrestling bar none. The fish market street fight was just nuts; very good stuff again from Team 3D. They are always on top of their game. Roode-Booker was sort of a disappointment, but it was more to set up Lockdown. Poor Traci. Sharmell's return was a bit of surprise. Elevation X was crap, again for the second year. With Jim Cornette there, they need to rewatch some old NWA footage if they want to do a scaffold match. It needs to be a bridge with some sort of support for the wrestlers to do something other than sit on it. Watch Rock 'n' Roll Express vs. Midnight Express or Road Warriors vs. Midnight Express please. The main event was good, more to set up Angle vs. Joe at Lockdown; Joe better win the title. It was hard to top the rest of the night, especially from the opening bout to the end of the women's match. Can't wait for Impact!
