Shane McKinley of Danville, Calif. (6.5): Best Match: Main Event: Worst Match: Adalme and Annoucing Wrestling. I think people can save a lot of heartache and frustation if they simply watch ECW on mute. I tried to ignore him but he says the most ridiculous lines that take away from the match. So mute it is. The Colin Delaney angle is sort of unique. As it stands right now, Colin seeemingly cannot beat anybody but can take a tremedous beating. So it might be the only wins he gets are fluke wins. But the Colin angle is really the only thing going on in ECW right now. Like how Miz and Morrison were brought up so that they are the most credible tag team champions in both WWE and TNA.
Terrie Neilson of Las Vegas, Nev. (9.0): Best: Miz vs. Punk Worst: Colin vs. Knox (though it wasn;t terrible). When ECW wants to, they can put on a good show. The only thing really wrong about the whole Colin Delaney story is that some months ago he made a big deal about getting his ECW contract so that he can get his own entrance music. Tonight it felt like he was just given some, and fairly generic sounding stuff at that. Instead of the Triple H-Orton video, there could have been a segment about the music, a composer asking him about his taste in music or something so that his music represents him, Mike Adamle gets Kelly and Michelle confused, but I wouldn't hold it too much against him as Ross has mixed up divas in the past. Thankfully, Tazz corrected in a "oh, by the way" fashion so as not to draw too much attention to that. And was it just me or did Kelly and Layla not tag in? I guess they were there to represent ECW, but not having them represent the match was dumb. Overall, the chemistry between Tazz and Adamle seems to be finding its way. I still think someone behind the curtain is causing the awkwardness. While it seemed weird at first that there was a promo then no follow-through, setting up Shelton-Kofi for next week was a good thing. Gives the in-ring portion of the feud a break to prevent burnout and gives one more thing other than PPV aftermath to work with. Their representative for Judgment Day, Miz/Morrison-Kane/Punk was well represented in two very good matches (Miz-Punk being slightly better). The main event showed that Kane can respectable wrestle and counter, something that doesn't get to be shown very often. The show finish predicts a title switch on Sunday, but WWE hasn't been 100 percent predeictable on match finishes lately.
Robert Komisar: I am going to say right off the bat that I did not watch this program. But I have to say that jobbing C.M. Punk cleanly to the freaking Miz in five minutes is about the most idiotic thing I have read in a while. Wrestling is not so much like baseball, where teams drop losses all the time to teams they are actually better than. We are talking about a guy supposedly being groomed as a ''big'' star for the future. A guy that is currently the MITB holder, holds clean victories over Chris Jericho, Matt Hardy, several other big name stars, and has been pushed to the moon as being able to hold his own against the likes of Randy Orton and other guys at the very top of the card. With all of that said... he is jobbing to the Miz... in five minutes... cleanly, no less. The Miz. A guy who is at the very bottom of the card and would never in a million years pick up a clean pinfall victory over anyone on the roster with any credibility whatsoever. If the Miz can defeat C.M Punk cleanly in five minutes, maybe he should be getting a WWE Title shot. I understand. WWE likes to keep up and comers ''humble'' (TM-Iron Sheik), but making Punk lay down like that for bottom of the card guys on ECW every other week is not the way to do it. How is anyone supposed to buy Punk as credible when one week he is pushing Randy Orton to the limit and the next The Miz treats him like his personal bitch? I cringe to think what the Miz would do to poor Orton or Triple H if his powers of Miz-a-mania are that strong... could anyone ever actually picture The Miz getting a W over any of the people that Punk actually has been put over. Jericho? Hardy? MITB? Anyone? WWE would never put those guys out there like that... so why Punk?
