ECW Reax #1: "All through the night Mike Adamle seemed on track. I really didn't hear anything that set off alarms."

Terrie Neilson of Las Vegas, Nev. (8.5): Best: Morrison/Chavo vs. Punk/Dreamer. Worst: Colin/Kelly vs. Knox/Layla. ECW got off to a big start, with Estrada booking the Singapore Cane match. Miz-Kane gave both of them something to do while deciding the next WWE tag title opponents. Kofi's undefeated streak coming to an end felt anticlimactic, but the match was a better wrestling showcase. The mixed gender match was too short to amount to much though it led to more of the Estrada-Delaney feud. Just seems stalled to me, though Delaney's expressions were golden. It is a shame what happened to Regal both on and off TV as now Teddy Long may be G.M. of Raw. Would have rather seen Teddy stay on Smackdown. The main event was nicely done, and all through the night Mike Adamle seemed on track. I really didn't hear anything that set off alarms, and there did seemed to be some fluidity between Tazz and Mike Adamle. Nice job. Needs some reactions to Kofi's first loss, Miz to explain why he patterned his hair after Santino, and Estrada explaining why he forgot Big Show in the mix for the main event, and we have ourselves a nice tidy show.

A.A. Norman of Tulsa, Okla.: Based on your lack of ECW reax, I would have to assume that most regular wrestling viewers, like me, have also abandoned WWE's third-rate show. Thus, instead of reviewing it, maybe it would be more helpful to WWE and others to explain why I, an ex-ECW regular viewer, am no longer watching. The reason is a combination of bad Mike Adamle announcing, poor match finishes including many, many disqualifications, too many recaps of shows that I do watch already anyway, and no fresh angles to keep me interested. This is by means a knock on the ECW talents. I absolutely love Kofi Kingston and Shelton Benjamin's rivalry. They are both great wrestlers, but I just don't know if I will see them in action and if it will even be a legit match. I love Miz and Morrison on the microphone, but when's the last time they've had a chance to just rant, or do a version of their WWE.com show on live television? I loved Colin Delaney from the first time he stammered his name out in New York, but to watch a few minutes of him, I need to also watch an hour of squashes, DQ's, Raw and Smackdown recaps, and other useless garbage. You have one hour to retain my attention, WWE. Just one hour! Why waste it on recaps and bad matches? You have the chance to do something creative with talented wrestlers and the best part is, nobody's watching, so you can afford to mess up if it doesn't work. Just give us something new, and when you're going to do that, make sure you promote it on a show that we do watch so I can witness it when the new ECW happens. Here's one idea for free: TV Title. Defend it each week on the show in fun matches (ladder between Kofi and Shelton, anyone?) that we don't see otherwise.

We welcome your 1-10 score and comments on this show for a "ECW Reax" feature in the Torch Feedback section of PWTorch.com. Just to add a twist to this feature, include not just your hometown, but also your occupation (mechanic, lawyer, stay-at-home-dad, college student, etc.) so readers get a flavor for what everyone does as "day jobs."
