WWE Smackdown Reax #1: "Why is Khali feuding with MVP again, seriously?"

Terrie Neilson of Las Vegas, Nev. (7.0): Best: Jeff vs. HHH; Jeff promo. Worst: Khali crashes MVP's match; HHH promo. For a last chance show taped overseas, this was just kinda there. The crowd was pretty dead for this, and it was sweetened all over the place. While it may cut costs in a shaky economy, this should tell WWE that double-taping may not be such a good idea. The matches were much better executed than the previous show, but with the dead crowd (which occasionally booed out of restlessness, I'm guessing) hurt the heat. Triple H's promo really ticked me off. He spent more time talking suggestively to Eve than making the serious statement that he's confident and will retain the title. Took so much away from the eventual match on Sunday, it isn't funny. I'm even more ticked off to Khali yet again denying MVP his win. Why is Khali feuding with MVP again, seriously? Thankfully this disruption didn't include a Kiss Cam invasion, but this is such an insult to MVP it's ridiculous. Taker's Last Rites to Big Show takes me back to just under four years ago when Heidenreich was afraid of caskets. How original. Jeff Hardy-Hunter was a good match, though a little below previous ones. Kozlov getting involved made sense, as Jeff again threatened a one-on-one match, and protected Hunter from the loss for now. The post-match all but says Kozlov gets an L, though the question of whom is still up in the air. It also leads to the possibility that Hardy or Kozlov will take the title and set up a match series that could run to the Rumble. Wish I were confident that's where it was heading, though.

Adam J. Grammas of Westchester, Ill. (3.0): Best: Hardy vs. Triple H. Worst: Final segment. Truth's entrance music annoyed me in TNA and it continues to annoy in WWE. Triple H (more specifically, WWE) is now stealing comedy bits from Dax Sheppard and Jessica Simpson in Employee of the Month. Anyone ever wonder why Morrison's music sounds not like the Doors but more like a Jimi Hendrix song? Think maybe Vince is giving up on The Brian Kendrick in favor of the big man, Ezekiel? Is MVP's losing streak gimmick a result of legit heat backstage? Hurricane's little pop up comments are getting really annoying. I'm just sayin'. I'm very surprised Nattie hasn't gotten a bigger push out of the gate. Maybe they will eventually build her up, but she's really just a sidekick right now. I wonder what the Guerrero girls think of Mommy getting thrown into a casket? Vince McMahon never ceases to amaze me, and I guess that's what he wants.
