WWE Survivor Series Reax #1: "The Cena match itself was quite good, with the proper finish."

Christi Lott of Garland, Tex. (7.0): Best match: Team Batista vs. Team Orton. Worst match: Triple H vs. Koslov. Layla throwing her shoe at C.M. Punk was the highlight of the entire show. Team Batista vs. Team Orton was good because of how fast paced it was Orton getting the RKO on Batista. The divas match was better than I thought it would be, but I thought it was going to be horrible. Beth proved she is the best of them all, which is true, and Maryse proved why she needs to be on TV as well as the new Divas champion. The casket match was really lame and really dated. Thankfully, Hunter vs. Koslov saved it from being the worst. A TNA chant during a Hunter match is not a good thing. The problem for the WWE is the internet, because all of us knew that, not only was Edge in Boston, but that the Hardy story was fake. I'm glad Edge won and Hardy came out, otherwise I'd have been totally knocked out. These two will have a fast-paced, great feud. I'm disappointed in Cena being champ, but not surprised. Jericho is a really good heel champion like Edge, and gives Raw some strong promos and matches. The crowd was not behind Cena unless they were girls and little kids, and him being champion won't do much for ratings. All the hype and he still got heavily and noticeably booed...in his hometown. If Vince was so scared about ratings, Jericho would still be champ, but in reality, Cena should have never came back to a title shot. The night truly belonged to Randy Orton, who proved he is the REAL future of the WWE.

Mike Omansky (6.5): Best match: Orton Survivor Series Tag. Worst Match: Divas tag. Strong and entertaining show overall. Edge win was a good twist, and Triple H jobbing was appropriate. Koslov is still "undefeated" when we exclude house shows. The Orton tag match was very well done, and had the right finish. Divas tag was really bad. Other than Glamazon and Mickie James, this was a time-killer. Undertaker-Big Show was again better than it looked to be on paper. Opening tag was good. Jericho-Cena was solid, although anti-climatic after the Orton and Edge victories.

Matt Johnson of Norway, Mich. (5.0): Best: Cena vs. Jericho. Worst: The sloppy divas match. The traditional Survivor Series matches were easier to follow when there were four men on each team. Five is too many, especially when they have no reason to be together. I noticed that Matt Striker did not make one of his nostalgic references to Randy Savage when Morrison went for the elbow drop from the top. I wonder why? The casket match was too fake. Why would Big Show turn over the casket when he had the advantage? During the Team Orton interview, they were all facing straight ahead. Wouldn't five people having a conversation face each other? It was fun seeing Orton interact with his team, thought, as it highlighted why he should lead a faction. Shelton Benjamin sticks out as a legit athlete, and WWE should try him out on top. WWE really should have just put Kozlov over in the match. His methodic style would have helped slow things down and narrow the focus of Smackdown. Something needs to stand still for everything else to seem like it is moving. Instead they went with a TNA-style finish that devalued the title and stole some of the spotlight away from the Cena match. The Cena match itself was quite good, with the proper finish. I still feel that the flurry of activity at the end of the match before it improperly stole some attention, though.
