WWE Raw Reax #2: "The John Cena honeymoon is already over."

Terrie Neilson of Las Vegas, Nev. (7.0): Best: Jericho promo; Michaels-JBL promo. Worst: canyon-sized logic leaps. The Cena honeymoon is already over. Barely lasted a week, and already the dueling chants have started. Was not a wise move at all to have Cena backed by the very fans that cause the backlash. The momentum Cena had last week being in serious mode was killed nearly dead in the span of about five minutes. A heel turn may be the only thing that can save Cena now, and I'm not sure even that will do it. The Intercontinental championship tourney turned in some pretty bad matches, and is clearly on a course for Punk vs. Kofi. Rey's arm injury does look legit as it looked like he wasn't positioned to take the planned bump exactly where he was. And he was selling the wrong arm as he was constantly shaking his left hand during the match with Miz. Santino was an absolute riot trying to mock Melina. This on-again off-again thing between Orton and Priceless needs to figure itself out, because at this point I've stopped buying it. I also couldn't buy Kane tonight either. He wrestled as a heel but gave a promo as a face, asking me to accept that he's now cool with the audience he was pissed off at just a few weeks ago. Seems kind of ironic that everywhere I hunt for wrestling views, people were saying "Shawn Michaels must be desperate to shill", then it becomes the very card JBL plays on Shawn. Suddenly those holiday plugs have a context, don't they? The Michaels-JBL confrontation was very well-done with the passive (Michaels) and aggressive (JBL) undertones. There are a lot of places this storyline can go, so I'm intrigued. The only bothersome thing about it came from Cole and Lawler, who automatically assumed that the crowd booed Shawn for apparently accepting JBL's offer. No concrete answer was given from Shawn, and the crowd may have booed for not seeing Sweet Chin Music. WWE needs to watch that this storyline isn't painted into a corner.

Adam Riemer of New York, N.Y. (5.0): Best: Cena's beat down. Worst: John Cena being the champ, also the Rey crap. The only reason I gave Raw such a high rating was because of the end. It has been two weeks and I already cannot stand John Cena as the champ. The best part of the night was the beat down. I loved seeing Jericho, Manu, Cody, and Randy just laying it to Cena, as my friend said for us Cena haters it was like having our cake, and eating it too. The IC Title hunt is worthless. Tt is too bad that title means about as much as the Light heavyweight Title did when Gillberg held it. Rey Mysterio hurts his arm and wins his match, ugh. The Rey that the WWE has is a shadow of the Rey I once knew and loved in WCW. So the Slammys are coming, I bet Triple H wins this one. It is a shame because I remember when Owen Heart won the award he made such a big deal about it, it was great. This year it is just another angle in the WWE, but at least a Slammys award is worth more than the IC title. The HBK/JBL stuff is interesting. I am not a big fan of "down on his luck" HBK, but this has potential. In my perfect world this would lead to an HBK/JBL alliance with Shawn turning heel, but that is never happening. The DX stuff was funny, 700 years ago. I am happy to see that months later they are going to continue the Priceless/Orton alliance. Batista needs a heel turn. Santino shined again. By the way, is anyone else wondering why the WWE feels the need to push a storyline four years in the making between big Dave and young Randy?
