WWE Raw Reax #2: "The best Randy Orton moment was his two-for-the-price-of-one slap across Batista's face that carried into Todd Grisham."

Eric Gall of Bridgeport, Ct. (6.0): High Point: Jericho snubbing Duggan. Low Point: Kane stalks Kelly. Raw was really dragging until Jericho started talking. The sign Nazis must be slipping; they not only let a fan with a sign within a foot of Beth, but they also let the fan get an unauthorized pic with her. It must help looking a lot like Melina Roucka. The Kane-Kelly stuff, except for the "stay-tuned - it's-not-really-Miz" twist, was horrible, awful, bad-in-every-way programming. Kane as a sweaty, yelling psycho has been overdone. Kelly's leisurely flight from Kane looked like every bad horror movie damsel in distress. I expected her to trip a few times or accidentally turn an ankle. Put the mask back on Kane and keep him pure monster heel for a while or just future endeavor him. Let's see, Jeff Hardy wins the belt at Armageddon, and who from Smackdown gets air time? Oh that's right, Triple H! Randy Orton is really upping his game, and I've never been an Orton fan. The best Randy moment was his two-for-the-price-of-one slap across Batista's face that carried over into a surprised Todd Grisham. Conversely, Kennedy really seems to be a sinking ship. He seems less charismatic every week, and management really should be second-guessing the move to feature him in one of their movies. Eric Stratton is now a director? Damn glad to meet him. It's time to get rid of Duggan and Simmons. Duggan looking sad at Jericho's ridiculing him was just sorry; there's no moping in wrestling! I may be in the minority, but I already find Ziggler far more watchable than Batista.
The main event was the segment that held my interest the least, because it predictably treaded water until the last five minutes. The head punt was good, as was Big Dave's D-Von Dudley-style spasms; nice to see Batista doing something other than smirking or sneering in rage.

Brock Severson of Ames, Iowa (6.0): Best Match: Tag Title Match. Worst Match: Dolph Ziggler vs. Santa. The main reason I tuned in to Raw was to see Kofi/Punk vs. Miz/Morrison, as they have had excellent matches in the past, and this match was no different. All four put on a heck of a match. I wouldn’t have minded seeing that as the main event. I am not a fan of Kane kidnapping Kelly Kelly, especially since there was a cameraman in the room. Wouldn’t it have been funny if he would have said something to Kane about not giving her a chance to leave, and then Kane knocking out the cameraman? Also, I learned that Cena is scared of Mike Knox. When Rey was being attacked, Cena was nowhere to be seen, but Big Batista gets attacked, and the Champ is here! The main event was solid and it was good to see Orton and Legacy standing tall. Overall, an okay Raw, but I am definitely more excited about seeing some quality wrestling next week with the four somewhat advertised matches.
