Terrie Neilson of Las Vegas, Nev. (7.0): Best: Beer Money vs. Lethal/Creed. Worst: BG-Jeff promo; "Palin." Impact nearly followed the Raw lesson plan in terms of details and small things. But still some small things were left dangling. Cornette did follow through on his edict of firing Sewell for snapping, but did acknowledge that Sewell's snaps were provoked. It was good that some back-story was given about Shane wrestling and refereeing, or Cornette re-hiring Shane as a wrestler would look like a dumb move. Where in the world are the Beautiful People going with this "Palin" crap? A.J. and Devon did follow through on their promise to watch Jarrett's and Foley's backs in the final segment, but where were Jarrett and Foley when they were celebrating Lethal and Creed's tag win? Kong's jobber squash tonight brought back something that made the Kong-Kim feud click: the obsession via photo, this time of Christy. Foley was wise to see through potential shenanigans between the Guns over the PPV contenders match. Looks like LAX will be a team exploring singles options, which is fine, but their briefcases should wait. Cashing them all in at once is just as bad as holding off cashing them in while making them insignificant in the process. As wildly overbooked the match was, I enjoyed the Beer Money-Lethal/Creed match. The knee "injury" looked a little too scary, though, considering how Melina and Evan Bourne were legit injured. The match itself gave a subtle hint that a Beer Money face turn could happen (and work). B.G.'s crying was the most ridiculously pathetic over-the-top emoting I've ever seen, but he redeemed himself by putting over MEM afterwards. Sting talked the talk with MEM earlier, but has he yet to be questioned for walking out, or not being there at all, in the beat downs. He could shore up his face turn by lying and saying he trusts that they are doing the right thing for the right reason, before the eventual pulling the rug out from underneath them that announces that his "right reasons" had been misguided. If I weren't reading between the lines and just watching, the show would have been fine. But as some may note, I probably pay too much attention to detail.
Ian Denbow of Mitchellville, Md. (2.5): Best Match: None. Worst Match: Most of it, really. So I'm giving up hope that Christopher Daniels is actually going to return to TNA. And hell, why should he want to? TNA is the absolute garbage. The only thing that could really give this MEM vs. Front Line feud any kind of fuel is if Angle lies down for Jarrett on Sunday, thus giving the MEM an Eric Bischoff type figure in the group. Beyond that - am I really supposed to think that the Road Dogg can beat Kurt Angle? Am I really supposed to think that Rhino is going to beat Sting? Please. TNA latches on to one idea for a PPV, and fills the rest of the show with filler and doesn't even bother trying to convince us that we should care. The Beautiful People bit has gone on completely too long. Here's an idea - let's take our two best female workers (I use the word best as they actually talk, as opposed to Kong), and take them out of competition for many weeks right after our no. 1 performer leaves us because it's quite apparent that we know nothing. Excellent Idea! On that note, what is up with the "Kongtourage"? Are you kidding me? If you're going to make a female Nation, you have to do something with Raisha Saeed. Interesting tag title change. I hope it leads to AMW reforming, but I doubt it. All in all, this week's episode of Impact completely let me down. What a surprise. TNA is to wrestling on the whole as Snitsky was to the WWE.
