WWE Raw Reax #4: "A match between these two at No Way Out seems natural ..."

1/26 WWE Raw Reax

Mica Roberts (manager at a large electronics retailer) of Lebanon, N.H. (5.0): Best Match: Cena vs. HBK. Worst Match: Divas tag team match. I was surprised to see Kofi Kingston make his way into the Elimination Chamber match. Obviously JBL wasn't going to make it into the match because that wouldn't advance the HBK/JBL storyline at all. Had HBK beat Cena then JBL wouldn't have needed his services anymore, thus killing the whole angle completely. Speaking of killing an angle, how are we as fans supposed to truly believe that Shane McMahon can single-handedly beat up Randy Orton and The Legacy the night after they outlasted the majority of the WWE roster in the Royal Rumble? Sure he was furious about Randy Orton punting his daddy's head through the uprights and his passion would drive him to attempt something completely stupid, but to actually succeed? I half expected him to tear of his shirt to reveal a big "S" on his chest. Plus, one would think that if you were going to partake in such an angle you'd make an attempt to make it look real. Daddy can take a kick to the head but his son can't throw a punch to save his life. Either that or Randy wanted him to go easy on his face.

Eric Gall of Bridgeport, Conn. (7.0): High Point: Final Segment. Low Point: too short Miz & Morrison vs. Cryme Tyme match. Shane's involvement tonight was well done, as it thickened the plot further but led the door open to collusion between Orton and Stephanie. I guess Shane is now the "McMahon with the Hands of Stone," but it works here. A match between these two at No Way Out seems natural. I don't mind Shane looking a little bit like Superman for one night; Triple H has been doing the same thing for years. Orton's doing a good job of carrying the ball and becoming the new face of Raw. I wonder if any production folks are getting "future endeavored" after Orton's song tonight got warbled and last week's weird camera shots. I thought Cryme Tyme would've put up more of a fight against Miz & Morrison. Cole came off as clueless when JBL interrupted him and Lawler; he's been announcing for 10 years and he's still shocked when people come to the stage unannounced? I'm not sure what they're doing with Melina as champ and the Beth/Santino/Rosa angle going on. Usually only one women's storyline is featured at a time. As short as Punk vs. Jericho was, I still enjoyed it. I'm enjoying Raw more these days since it seems the Road to WrestleMania forces the company to sharpen everything up.
