3/10 WWE ECW on Sci-Fi Reax

A.A. Norman of Tulsa, Okla. (10.0) Best match: Primo vs. Miz; Worst: TOO MANY RECAPS! Give credit where credit is due: This was a wonderful ECW showing. It was well-advertised during Raw, and it's about darn time after all of the Raw recaps they've been showing on ECW since the beginning. The Miz and Primo match had good in-ring action, but get Carlito and Morrison fighting at the announcers table at the same time made this even better. This was followed by a strong cruiserweight bout, which is perfect for ECW's format. Finally, a battle royale where viewers can predict which guys will be the next to be "wished the best in future endeavors" or be sent to WrestleMania. A great show that would have been even better if we didn't have to watch that stupid Sledgehammer Show from the night before.

Terrie Neilson of Las Vegas, Nev. (7.0): Best: Primo vs. Miz. Worst: Morrison on commentary. ECW turned in a nice effort, like most Tuesdays. Kidd-Gabriel was a nice enough match, but their rivalry isn't very well explained (clash of styles, battling for contendership, etc.) Bourne is back next week. Let the fun really begin. For the second time in about a year-and-a-half John Morrison has thoroughly ruined commentary on an otherwise good match. Miz and Morrison argued over a Punk-Noble match (before they began to team up), and this time he just annoying talked over everyone. When Morrison is working with a concrete script, he's fine. When working in a situation where a script (or at least an outline of one) is needed but needs to be camouflaged, he contracts diarrhea of the mouth. I'm not sure who is worse on commentary: The Shaman Of Sexy or Black Snow. If there another ECW-related match, I could forgive the battle royal being rushed, but it was the Hunter-Orton replay that will appear again on Smackdown. The time wasted on this replay could have added time to the battle royale, as well as give Striker and Grisham time back they lost by way of Morrison. It could have also given Swagger some promo or video time to remind the folks he is the ECW champion. Christian winning the battle royale was expected either way. This may, though I'm not holding my breath, open the door to a brand move.
