-- 9/3 TNA Impact TV Reax

Adam J. Grammas of Westchester, Ill. (7.0): Best: A.J. vs. Sabin, Daniels promo. Worst: Knockouts match. When I saw Rhino goring Sting a couple of times after his loss, I was happy they were finally making it seem like he wasn't indestructible. But then I thought it was a set up to give Hernandez a victory later on in the night. But that didn't happen either. Not sure what they're doing. (I'm glad the latter did NOT happen because Hernandez should be getting solid victories, not only when the top guys are "injured.") Then I was angry Super Mex wasn't going to the main event at the PPV, but I'd rather they take more time to build him up. Having the Guns rush out a few weeks back fighting on the side of "good" got a great reaction. So why are they still playing heels? I didn't like that Sabin didn't get more offense in, but in the process, A.J. looked great in both of his matches. If he doesn't get a clean World Title victory soon, there's something really wrong. Taz has to be happy he's in TNA where he's able to say "phenomenal" a lot. Now they just need a wrestler whose gimmick name is "ginormas." Daniels's promo was great. Not forced and he seemed really relaxed. They need to give him the mic more. Not sure I like the "Mindfreak" look he's adopted. Bring back the fu manchu! The ending brawl wasn't bad, but not as good as a couple weeks ago.

Terrie Neilson of Las Vegas, Nev. (6.0): Best: Sabin vs. Styles. Worst:
SoJo/Hamada vs. Tara/Christy. There were some trains of thought going into the show, but somewhere along the way, the trains got off track. When Rhino first attacked Neal, my reaction was "why not turn Rhino heel?" He's known for a hot temper, an apparent impatient streak, and, in past storylines, an addiction issue. Something yet to be revealed could be at play aside from Ray pointing out that Rhino didn't catch on overnight. Daniels calls out Joe to remember the good old days of the X Division. This promo wouldn't have played off anywhere near well had TNA treated the X Division with any respect. What was the deal with Hamada going from face to heel? Made no sense at all. Sojo hadn't been on TV in a while, so them starting as faces would have worked. Sojo gets pissed off at Hamada for the loss and then we start something. Angle and Morgan talked a lot of talk, but where was the walk? I was expecting some kind of follow-up that didn't take place. Homicide and Hernandez turned in an okay match, but there was a sense that something was coming judging by the Hernandez-Young promo. Putting it during the Hernandez-Sting match was just an odd place to put it. In the melee that followed, something amiss was seen: 3D claimed to have Neal's back, so where was Neal when they joined the ruckus? And where was Rhino? It was one of those things that made go "hmmmm."
